hoping to sneak in under the wire here:
prep:
red and yellow peppers, shallot, garlic

cooking:
melt 2 tbsp butter, and soften the garlic and shallots, add the peppers, add the shrimp, a pinch of pepper, a pinch of cayenne, and a teaspoon of paprika

plated:
before service drain your pasta, leaving a glug of the cooking liquid behind, pour the shrimp mix into the pasta and combine, plate up:

I don't mind as I am bored. Pics of prep and finished dishes or just finished dishes?

In the kitchen now. Had a bit of an up and down week. Bought a new car, then lost my job. Ho hum. Food to follow.

Not sure that I should have two entries. I think the soup should be deleted.

Nothing in the rules about multiple entries.

The way I see it - you can never have too much nice food. I'm sure you'll agree lick

Sorry, couldn't be arsed with ingredients etc. In a bit of a grouchy mood.

Did some butterbean soup with prawns. Fairly simple (ie, made in the time between last post and this). Tasty though.

Where is "home" for you?
Dubai. We are spoilt for choice for seafood here.
Lol. I'm out there in less than two weeks for some consultancy in the fish sector! You go to Deira fish market to buy your fish?

Some lovely fresh ingredients
You can shoot me now, but I had 4 of the very same ready to cook, sadly, we did not feel too well after a night eating Hotpot/Steamboat to celebrate Chinese New Year. As such, my 4 were steamed and thrown into a salad for next days lunch (please shoot me now)

The pisser is that I had been out and bought some "ingredients" for the cooking

I last came away with a 2kg tuna, a 2.5kg bream, 1kg tiger prawns and 1.5kg of monster prawns (all 4 of them!) for about 30 of your British Pounds.

Are you coming to teach them about overfishing? I think someone might need to, soon....

Look very much like the Aussie bugs. 1.5 kg would be 3.3lb assuming the french kg to english lb (different for our US cousins though). Either way misses the 30lb mark.

PS Looks like a great market. Bit better then here in Newactle or the habour front when I was in Poole UK.

The problem you will find here is that being a "pale face" their eyes light up the $$$ signs when they see you. hahaha

An advantage of being in Aus where most of the population are "pale face". Bugs have been harvested or 1000s of years though.
