Am I the only person that likes Pink Floyd that doesn't enjoy The Wall as a whole?
The Wall was what got me hooked. Its an odd album compared to most other music, have you seen the film? it kinda makes more sense if you watch the film (or smoke a field full of skunk...)Thesaint01708 said:

It has some amazing songs, but linked together with tedious spoken bits, or songs which are just lyrics, with no decent music behind them (unlike Hey you for example). I find most of it too overblown to listen to all the way through.I'm very much in the camp that lyrics don't make a song, it's the instruments behind the music that make it interesting. Hence, Wish you were here is my favourite Pink Floyd album.

delicate sounds of thunder is my favourite album - Sorrow, great track I'm very much in the camp that lyrics don't make a song, it's the instruments behind the music that make it interesting. Hence, Wish you were here is my favourite Pink Floyd album.

'77 here. I've a feeling I might be in the bottom age range on Saturday! And I'm hugely jealous of the lot of you. Big Pink Floyd fan and saw Roger Waters put on a fantastic show at Glasto a few years back. I'd be amazed if Dave Gilmour turns up, though.
