Never heard of these guys before - Blitzen Trapper.

'Black River Killer' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5z64DX9cNs

Really reminds of the groove to Steeleye Span's 'Black Leg Miner' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Mve-xSd0AQ

DJ Dan - Disco Funk Odyssey mix

Probably one of the very best Disco/Jackin' House mixes I have heard in a long time.

That is an absolutely top drawer album!

I'm sat here relaxing with a bottle of wine, all the windows wide open, enjoying the clear skies, warm weather and the start of spring, birds are singing so I've lobbed on The Stone Roses.

For some reason it's always sounded like 'Spring Time' music to me. Perhaps it is along the lines of when you get your first B-B-Q organised - someone always stick on the Stone Roses. Love it!

(Might stick on The Pixies Doolittle next, or maybe The Stranglers)

That's impressive, were more people singing here?

I reckon Mr Beethoven would've been impressed.

There was a documentary on BBC 4 the other night about Freddy, to me he just came across as a fairly ordinary bloke who loved ballet and opera. Utterly amazing to see him stand in front of so many people and perform. He seemed to be such a quiet and humble individual off stage.

(1978!) It's got everything! And that groove is impossible to ignore.

A recent discovery for me. Shades of Simon and Garfunkel with some sublime acoustic flat-picking guitar playing. The Milk Carton Kids. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pV7WnzLRgjU
