I still have loads of my 60s and 70s LPs, and Moving Waves by Dutch group Focus was an LP that was really something different at the time.Aside from yodelling Thijs van Leer, it was Jan Akkerman that stood out, he was and still is a superb guitarist heading towards 70 years old.
Re Hocus Pocus, needs to watched live!
Here's (youngish) Gladys Knight introducing them on the American Midnight Special show in 73.

Nightwish - Wishmaster.
I've no idea where I heard of Imaginaerum but I bought it and it is fantastic stuff so I bought some prior albums. Wishmaster is very good too.
Watch the End Of An Era concert from 2005 (its on youtube). Was the final one with their lead vocalist before she was sacked/left. One of the very few videos which you can really see how much the crowd are really loving it, and her vocals are amazing. A proper 'wish I was there' moment. Maybe a repost of my own post but I don't care.....

Currently on Afro Left.
Listening to the opening seconds to Release the Pressure just took me back 20 years (20 years!!!) to 1996, seeing them live at The Mayfair in Newcastle. Oh my, time flies.

Great album, had rhythm and stealth on at the weekend which is probably my favourite.

Not a fan of this band really, but just stumbled across a live version of "Rivers of Ice" by Simple Minds from their "Big Music Tour 2015" album. This version wasn't sung by Jim Kerr, but by Catherine A.D. - I always liked this song, but this version is absolutely stunning. Very atmospheric.
Check it out on Spotify (guess it's probably on YouTube but can't check here from work)...
