ice coincidence smile I found them the other day and have been listening to Emissaries, I was going to post here the other day. music

If you like those regional themes, and don't mind more towards prog metal, Orphaned Land are worth a look, start with this, and Myrath from Tunisia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5d4ql9IaBo
I enjoy some of the 'Eastern' melodies and influence, but they're not my motivation for listening, it's the Black/Thrash/Absu elements of Melechesh I like - I don't think I've bothered with anything Orphaned Land have done for the last decade or so, I don't dislike them; they just not quite my thing. I've not heard any Myrath yet so will give them a go, thanks. I don't get very Proggy unless it's mixed with Black or Death but I'll try.

Fair enough. I'm still discovering everything as it were, not sure they are for me either having listened more. Myrath probably won't be for you, I found some crossover there with Symphonic metal I unashamedly enjoy like Delain. It's more Melodic & Folk/Black-ish I like, but I'll listen to anything.

The Wonder Stuff - Never loved Elvis, I love it and whilst also reading Mile's book I'm also trying to encourage the organisers of the Beautiful Days Festival to get The Wonder Stuff in for head line set. biggrin

Into the new year with BBC Dance Ibiza Proms...

https://youtu.be/xs3BXVTF7mw

90 minutes of a fantastic Yoof, played with the eloquence and precision of true musicians, bringing to life, dance songs which are often overlooked for their musical content and true genius.

If you haven't watched or heard this and felt moved to get out of your seat, then I would urge you to play out the set.

The Eyes of Sharbat Gula

I shall leave it as an interesting google.

The whole album is very good, just maybe lacking one, more powerful, female vocal track. Possibly I have just been overdoing the Babymetal.
