Theatre Of Hate live now.... waiting for Stiff Little FINGERS

Please report back; were TOH and SLF any good? Stiff Little Fingers were the first band I ever saw 1978/79 supported by the Drongoes at Digbeth Civic Hall. Never saw Theatre of Hate but did see Spear of Destiny in !985 at Rock City in Nottingham.

Frankie goes to Hollywood - Welcome to the pleasuredome. Forgot what a great production by Trevor Horn.
Not the original line up per se (and the fat dancer is still annoying), but very well done.

I heard this on the radio this morning and then followed it up tonight. Dermot O'Leary is an insufferable prick but I have him to thank for finding it.

One of my current favourite bands. I first heard about them on Shaun Keaveny's show on 6 music. Here he is introducing a live performance of Go.

Race for Space is a great album and is even more poignant now as we're losing more and more Apollo people as time marches on.

God, I wish this band were a bit more productive as i seem to love everything they do - just one album every 15 years if you're lucky!

One of the things I like about linked music is that you sometimes hear something you otherwise never would and love it.

In this case, I'm afraid I found that a bit dull.

LP - Lost on You. Can't believe I hadn't even heard of her until today. And now, annoyingly her only UK show is sold out. frown

Video has a few visual distractions, but isn't NSFW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn3wJ1_1Zsg
Heard her in the radio yesterday for the first time ever, and been listening to the only 2 tracks on prime. Really like them.

Wanted to order albums, but it seems that there are no CDs - only vinyl. So will probably have to buy MP3 download which limits my listening options a bit.

Bet it feels like you're floating on a river, forever and ever?
Careful though, you don't go bumping into Arnold Layne!

I was never a part of the Ecstasy generation but in the right nightclub with a head full of chemicals and this track, I can see how people can be transported to a different plane.

Stumbled across The Immediate, great track:

https://soundcloud.com/adamwalton/1-whats-the-matt...

Great story too, 3 lads formed a band in their teens, gigged all over Europe, couldn't get a deal, were broke, fell out, split up, got married etc. 20-odd years later they bumped into each other, made up, no longer married, reformed the band, now releasing music through modern channels and have an album coming out next month:

Back to my comfort zone.

Depeche Mode - The Singles 81→85

I played this so much in my old car that the tape (yes tape) was almost transparent.

Dug out my old CDs and found this again. Great stuff.
