Just reminded me of a lost genius. How many guitarist sound like this when they turned 18 years old?

What a bloody waste thanks to drugs and booze. He still keeps his guitar under his bed apparently.

Happy Xmas Danny ...pick it up!

Handles Messiah - Kings College Choir

It's just on in the background and always makes me feel like Christmas, with a little nostalgia in the mix.

It's been a really nice few days thus far.

Genesis - mostly Duke (WHAT an album) but I'm going to embark on making my own "Best of...."

I love Duke, great album, Genesis at this point had left the Gabriel era far enough behind them but not gone too mainstream like that nasty sounding album Invisible Touch, a lot of top acts in the mid 80s had albums out that didn't stand the test of time along with Invisible Touch there were albums like Back In The High Life by Steve Winwood bearing in mind how brilliant Arc Of A Diver and he's first solo album were, everyone seemed to like reverb on everything in the mid 80s.
Also worth noting that Duke and Zeppelin's In Through The Outdoor were recorded in Abba's Polar Studios and I find Misunderstanding and Fool In The Rain similar, perhaps that's where Collins got the idea from at the time.
