I absolutely adore this song and listen to it on a regular basis....in fact I love most music of this era. New R2 series on Mondays at 10pm (Sounds of the 50's with Leo Green) is showcasing the 50's stuff for those that are interested.

Black Veil Brides.
My niece (14) has a massive thing for the Black veil Brides, I mean a constant, incessant obsession.
She's seen them a couple of times as well.

I think they make a god-awful racket but that's exactly the point, I'm so pleased she likes something she has actually had to seek out and listen to as opposed to 1 fking direction.

At her age I loved Sabbath, Motown and The Clash, and my 51 year old Uncle would no doubt have thought it was all garbage!

Long live the BVB's smile

Been listening to loads of Wallis Bird lately, seen her a couple of times and she's amazing live.

Try this:

Loads of other good stuff if you like that.

Actually I'm going to edit that with a live version:

Nothing but Thieves, Graveyard Whistling. I love these guys, I'm really hoping they've be the saviors of falsetto Rock. It doesn't hurt that the vocalist is peppered with Matt Bellamy and dances as badly as Thom Yorke (though not in this vid):

They've been a bit of an earworm for a while, but what really made me down tools and listen was when they played BBC's live Lounge and smashed some Kashmir into Mumford & Son's Believe:

You know those quiet powerful tunes?

The ones in you head because you've often heard them in one particular context.

Then someone opens the door to where they came from.

And you find whole layers of power, meaning and delight?

I really try and make a point of coming back to this thread and listening to all the links over and over again.

I don't like that song at all, however it is really well produced, so well that I've played it at least four times now. The bass sound in there is great.

Can't stand it as a pop song, but it is a great tune.

So I caught this one

Unfortunately her voice just doesn't quite do it for me in that Pixies Kim Deal / Cranberries Delores way.

Thanks for posting it up though! It's very close to being something I could fall in love with.
