Oddly enough, pretty much every track mentioned so far in this thread! The soundtrack for Gran Turismo 1 also does the job - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JzCL75MohY&fea... but ever since I got my bland lease Golf my foot down days have pretty much disappeared

Found out today that Dario G's Sunchyme has this effect on me.

Can i point out i dont like dance music, but for some reason the polo ended up getting a very good run when this came on.

I find that radio 4 is the only thing that I tend to relax when driving to. Any music seems to make me drive more swiftly.

The worst for driving smoothly and increasing speed at the same time is probably anything by Dave Brubeck.

Picture this.

It's 5.30 am in Nevada, we have left early to make some time towards the next place on the trip.

The sky is crystal clear and the sun is just rising behind us as we run down this two lane highway in an almost orange glow.

On the radio comes Tom Petty, the song? Runnin' down a dream, well it gets cranked right up, the windows are dropped, the air is still cool, the light is amazing and if I just ran the car on the edge of the road against the dirt we left a huge dust trail behind us, by the time the guitar solo comes to an end we are into three digit speeds singing and just loving the moment.

That, that moment right there was the ultimate song/driving moment, I will never be able to re create that feeling again and it is as vivid today as it was all thise years ago!

Thanks to one perfect song meeting one perfect moment.
