I know I'm late on the uptake but a few months ago I came across 'ALT + J' and Breezeblocks.

Polica - Don't know anything about them, but I saw them on Later and loved the sound of Darkstar, so downloaded the album which is similarly moody.

Different and, I think, rather cool.

Just discovered REM getmecoat

I love it when you discover a band that you were always aware of but just didnt give it the time. REM just seem to fit in well with this particular time in my life...great music, if a little samey
