Looks like people are cashing in on his predicament:

This came up on Twitter yesterday, particularly Via Go Go inflating prices in the secondary tix market. Charming. You would think just for once they could forgo a few quid to honour a dying man.

Secondary ticketing is an outrage, I hate it. Im convinced its a big scam for promoters and resellers to make more money.

If any touts are stupid enough to be out Koko for the gigs, I imagine there'll be some angry folks there too.

Got tickets for the 10th. Bittersweet. The man's a star.

Spent the day in London with my brother yesterday and we attended the Radio 4 Mastertapes recording with Wilko for 'Down By The Jetty'. Brilliant day. Had a quick word with the great man afterwards. Bring on Koko on the 10th.

Not for a while. June/July I believe. Don't miss it, he was fantastic.

Certainly won't, but off to Koko's in two and a half weeks so really looking forward to that, despite their bar prices. It'll be worth it.

Yeah. There with the missus and four friends. As near to the front as possible and skittering to those naughty rhythms...

John Robb is a music journo who pops up in music docos once in a while & he wrote a really barely literate biography of the Stone Roses. I'm not a great fan, but he wrote this today & it's a lovely sentiment.

Classic Rock this month has a fantastic interview with Wilko, written by Charles Shaar Murray, who's an old friend of his. It's an eye-opener. Suffice it to say, if I ever have the misfortune to be handed down a diagnosis like Wilko's, I'd try my best to emulate his attitude. What a guy.

And the final picture in the article will remain with me whenever I think of him.... cry

Apart from Oil City which I've seen I'll be glued to the sofa smile
The only band in that lot I haven't seen is Duck's Deluxe!

Saw Wilko last night at Koko's.

It was the best twenty quid I've ever spent in my whole life.

He was having such a good time. And so were we.

Alison Moyet did a couple of songs towards the end and, for a bit of theatre, a string broke and had to be fixed mid-song. Norman Watt-Roy and Dylan Howe on bass and drums carried in without him for a bit.

"I haven't got my glasses," quoth Wilko. "I've got to thread the string - but I can't even see the guitar."

Fabulous stuff.

What a bloke.

Fantastic.
I saw him at Dingwalls years ago and the strap button came off. The screw had pulled out of the wood. He played half the set holding the guitar...how?

My band supported him in the early 90's, really nice bloke and a great performer, Norman Watt-Roy was on bass, also a nice bloke.
