Saw them in Rock City last night. The Amorettes went down well, I thought, given that hardly anybody knew any of there stuff. Black Star Riders were exactly that, decent mix of new stuff and the Lizzy material and Europe, well, bored me stupid. Joey couldn't decided whether he wanted to be Dio or Coverdale, and failed miserably at both.
Lucky enough to meet the black star riders at manchester , all nice guys & got all my old lizzy stuff signed by Mr Gorham , what a nice patient man he was , never meet your heroes they say , but Mr Gorham was a 100 % top bloke . I was a 16 year old kid trapped in a 49 year olds body chasing round for autographs , but well worth it & a top show in Manchester later !
