Thanks, I'd never heard of this one before but I've just found it on http://www.teamrockradio.com/# and I'm listening to it now. I'm hoping it turns out to be a good one in the long term smile

OMG! It's crap!!!

There's just been a bloke who kept on and on talking about Twitter and Facebook then he tried to play a record and when it started he stopped it and started shouting "grey, grey, grey!"

Why doesn't he shut up and play some music???

I've gone back to Last.FM, there are no DJs there to spoil things.

That was in real time.

I went to their web page and listened to it, and it was really good, so I posted my post saying so and then a while after that it suddenly turned into an apalling Twitter/Facebook advert done in a stupid voice. Before I could get to the computer to change it, he started to play a song, then immediately turned it down and started shouting "grey, grey, grey!" for no logical reason at all.

That was when I changed back to last.fm. That's ok, you can just type a band's name, or a genre, and listen to the kind of stuff you might like, with no DJ types to ruin it for you.

I edited my post on Friday 21st June 16:47, so it would've been OK until a couple of minutes before that.

I might try it again in a few weeks.

Liking what I'm hearing so far, shame the sound quality is ste. Compressed to fk, even streaming online where bandwidth shouldn't be an issue.

Check the schedule and you might find something ok. I've never found it bad. The Classic Rock Magazine Show on atm might sometimes be a bit flat but not bad presenting IMO.

Thanks, you're right. I've been listening to it for a couple of hours now and it's OK again.

I don't know what was going on with them yesterday laugh

I like Team Rock. Lucky for me they arrived just as Planet Rock turned into radio 1, there are about eight or ten songs that Planet Rock play over and over again, at the moment its that "Bible Black" song and "Bound for Glory", no idea who they are by but I am sick of them.

Planet Rock got on my tits when they played that god awful Rolling Stones song "doom and gloom" every hour for a month and bent over backwards for the Stones as if they are even remotely relevant and seem to ignore a dozen of the worlds most popular rock bands.

A Rock station should play songs by at least four of the following bands each hour: Metallica, Pantera, Machine Head, Sepultura, Megadeth and Iron Maiden and then they are free to do what they want, its not rocket science....

Need to buy a DAB radio for my desk now as we're not allowed to stream stuff at work anymore frown

I didn't even realise Rach and Dewsbury had left! Shows how much my listening has been cut by not being able to stream frown

A friend told me about this station a few weeks ago and I love it, was feed up with radio 1 and 2 so tried Kerrang for a few weeks, but I just get so anoyed by adverts! also the pop punk/not really rock music and repeat playing of songs was getting on my tits.

The DJs are so-so but the music is top notch. currently arranging a DAB for the van and one for home smile

I tend to flick between TR and PR - away from TR if something I really don't like comes on and away from PR when they play an advert.

Mostly I stay with TR - great balance of old and new.

Me too. Features a lot of former PR jocks as well.

Found this this morning after getting my DAB back from my mums car rescanned and thought why not. 20 minutes in and no Adverts.....Hmm this is good followed by some DIO era Rainbow, Fleetwood Mac and Led Zep and then the offspring and the limpbizkit low point. Straight into some Yardbirds.

I love how they keep playing the full uncensored versions of songs. I counted 2 today that and the canadian douchebag voiceover trail.

Real breath of fresh air in UK Rock Radio.

Also in the south east it appears to be on a higher baudrate multiplex than Planet Rock?
