That's my afternoon sorted!)
Still the most underated band ever and still going strong after 34 years.

Check out their last album.

Just got tickets for 65 days of static in Brighton, not seen them before so looking forward to it.

Saw The Cure and Goldfrapp last week, both were excellent as always and forgotten what a brilliant voice Alison Goldfrapp has live...just stunning.

Reviews for The Cure were pretty negative in The Times and Telegraph but as a real fan I just can't see how a nearly 4 hour gig is a bad thing. They have been doing this length gig for a while now, certainly the last couple of times I've seen them.

Saw Status Quo last night at the Manchester Apollo. I first saw them in 1979/80 at the same venue.

Only bought the tickets two days ago and I'd normally avoid them like the plague now as their catalogue post 85 is popchart rubbish. However I noticed in the press that this was a reunion gig featuring the original four members of the band - no keyboard player in sight.

It was excellent. Pure old Quo heavy blues, three lead singers whose voices haven't changed a bit (because they share the duties?), Rossi reminding everyone he's actually a very good lead guitarist and no signs of age in any of the band. Really very, very good. If you have the chance - there are a few 'reunion' gigs left - go and see one of the last great heavy blues/rock bands while they're back together.

Got Caravan booked for the end of April.

4th April - EPMD, Nice & Smooth and Kwame at the Forum in Kentish Town. I'm looking forward to this night as it'll be the first time my older cousin and I are out on the tiles. He got me into rap and he was a massive EPMD and Nice & Smooth fan.
Well that was a waste of money. The only saving grace for the night was DJ 279 and Manny Norte playing some classics in between the acts.

On the plus note just seen that Cam'ron is in the country in June. Hope this one is better.

If you don't count Soundgarden that is. Saw them last year and thought them very poor.

I seem to remember the Chris Cornell's voice has really started to suffer over the last few years.

To be honest the vocals weren't too bad, or I didn't notice as the tempo of all the songs was waay too fast and ruined them anyway. It was also so loud and poorly mixed you couldn't tell one song from another. Even Motorhead can manage better. The lead singer kept appealing for people to come on stage and dive into the crowd like at some 90s grunge-fest, however he seemed not to notice the security blokes and moat like safety corridor between the stage and the fans. No one took up his offer and it all looked a bit sad.

Would be a real shame if that's the case...

Haven't seen Soundgarden live since the early 90's, when they did one of the best gigs I've seen - that was at a student union in Glasgow. Motorhead on the other hand were pretty good when they played Sonisphere a few years back.

I bloody wish it would save me a fortune.
No just a fan since 84, and go whenever I can, like loads of others who follow them.
To be honest its bloody fantastic going to loads of different places, meeting loads of people and seeing your favourite band nightly, whats not to like.
You only live once.music

Yes live in Germany and take holidays for the Tour plus the band sell a Season Ticket which helps with costs and the hassle of booking tickets. Cheap hotels and friends houses also helps as does car sharing.
