Toying with Whole Lotta Led as they are playing the local theatre Saturday night....
Mark, fancy coming down to Ruislip, on Friday 30th of Jan to see these guys? I'm up for it if you are http://www.tropicatruislip.co.uk/bands/hatsofftole...
Not seen them, but have seen Whole Lotta before....
Go and report back please.....
One last gig for me to finish the year and I reckon it will be the top gig of 2014:-
The Lawnmower Deth Xmas party at the Underworld in Camden with Evil Scarecrow, Savage Messiah and Bull Riff Stampede. I'm doing down in the bus with the Scarecrow folks and drum teching for Jordan. Both LD and ES put on wonderfully insane shows, so this one should be a belter.
It's been a brilliant year for gigs and quite hard to select favourites (never mind remember who I've seen) but highlights include:
Evil Scarecrow & Obituary at Bloodstock.
Pretty much all the unsigned bands I worked with over the weekend as drum tech at Bloodstock. Psykosis, Eradikator, Akb'al, Canyon Observer, Jackknife Seizure and Byzanthian Neckbeard being the highlights of the New Blood Stage.
Overkill in Manchester. It's Overkill, no nonsense, balls out thrash, what more can you say?
Bolt Thrower at Damnation Fest, Leeds. Bolt Thrower never play the UK and I hadn't seen them since '91. Just immense, death metal as it should be.
Already for next year I've got 2 Hirax gigs booked (first time ever in the UK, so stoked), working Bloodstock again and Thrashersaurus in Norwich. Plus whatever Evil Scarecrow gigs I can get to.

Jurassic 5- seen them similar time last year, cracking hip hop gig. they put on a bit of a show, lots of audience participation, even took requests and played some random tracks, great gig.
I dunno, as Chas 'N' Dave will tell you, there ain't no pleasin' some people! :-) AnimalMkIV said:

How was it? I wanted to go but my mate couldn't make it, and he's essential company as he lives in town and gives me somewhere to crash? The Lawnmower Deth Xmas party at the Underworld in Camden with Evil Scarecrow, Savage Messiah and Bull Riff Stampede. Instead, me and the kids spent a good couple of hours scuttling across the lounge to the footage of ES at bloodstock. Great fun.

Shame, it was a brilliant show. Possibly not quite as mad as last years Nottingham show (on YouTube in full - worth a watch) with less silly costumes.Instead, me and the kids spent a good couple of hours scuttling across the lounge to the footage of ES at bloodstock. Great fun.
I'm quite glad I went as crew as the place was sold out and packed. I probably wouldn't have seen very much had I been in the crowd and certainly wouldn't have lasted in the crush up front.
Bull Riff Stampede played a good set before driving over to play the Headbangers Balls show in Gloucester!
Savage Messiah were bang-on and tight as always.
Evil Scarecrow played a shorter set than they were expecting, but it was up to their usual standards with the added bonus of having the Lawnmower Deth lads as backing robots
Lawnmower Deth came on to the Ooh Crikey intro speech and launched straight into Spook Perv Happenings at the Snooker Hall before Pete announced that they would be playing the whole of Ooh Crikey all the way though.
There was some great banter and many balloons (Killer Cob green, naturally). A fan got dragged up on stage, given a christmas tree, tinsel and baubles and told to decorate the tree before the band finished playing "Did You Spill My Pint" which he did before diving back into the cheering crowd.
Dr. Hell came back on stage to do a sing-off with Qualcast Mutilator trying to see who could get the longest "Ooh Crikey". Dr. Hell won by 2 seconds at 24s.
The crowd had been given duck whistles on the way in for "Duck Off" (and to annoy everyone on every tube and train line out of Camden it would appear )
