Just a heads up, I was at the Therapy? gig at the Scala on wednesday where a number of people had phones stolen from pockets, me included. There are known gangs targeting live music venues and stelaing phones in the crowd. I was up front getting jostled around when my was lifted from my jeans pocket, shortly after i'd been taking some photo's, my guess is they targeted people seen taking photo's or filming which is a very common thing these days.

Fortunately i had my phone returned by the Met police yesterday, the thieves were in a car that triggered an anpr so got pulled over, suspect was found with 10 stolen phones an taken into custody.

So just be careful if using a phone at a gig. Lesson learned for me.

Pleased you got it back, but maybe this will put people off filming in gigs? You're there to enjoy the music, and it doesn't have to be recorded to have happened... Problem of the facebook generation I guess.

my son was one of about 30-40 people that had their phones nicked at the O2 in Birmingham a few weeks back. Right pain. He reported it, along with everyone else, on the night but no luck.

Definitely gangs operating and you need to keep your wits about you at all times.

If it stops tw@ts holding their phones up blocking other people's views to take videos that they'll never ever watch I'm not so sure it's a bad thing!

There were a lot of police at the Five Finger Death Punch show I went to last month at the HMV Forum, apparently a lot of people in the pit had their phones taken the night before. I'm taking my old cheap phone to future gigs.

Went to see London Grammar a couple of months ago and a bloke shoved his way to the front then proceeded to have a face time chat with his friend, shouting at his phone so his mate could hear him over the music.
