Working with the clues, 19 is Mr Roboto by Styx. I didn't search by the lyrics but checked the Billboard chart for likely offenders. Does that make me bad?
That's what clues are for - well done, got the offender!
On a similar basis I've discovered what number 5 was - that one really gave me the hump! wink

Aarggh too late to the thread. I only knew two songs instantly from when reading the first post and this was one of them (eighth day was the other). I started frantically searching through the thread hoping no one had it but alas, twas not to be.

Oh don't worry, I've got lots of obscure rubbish, will make sure there's one in there for you next time biggrin

That's obviously presuming I'd be allowed to do another...

I've never heard of half of the answers, there's quite a gap in my music appreciation. That said, I've had "Mr Roboto" on the MP3 player for a few weeks, so should have got that. As I recall, it was on the BBC news as heralding some entirely new style of music, though for the life of me I can't think why.

Bring it on! Might have a go myself, pick ten tracks at random from my personal library.

OK, the end is in sight, last few bits to get...

5. "When I'm on my own, and out of my mind. I realize how I've grown, and changed my old line. Learning how to give and not be afraid, of the place where I live and mistakes I have made" We know this is Camel, but which track from their 1982 album?

9. "Don't look ahead, there's stormy weather, another roadblock in our way. But if we go, we go together, our hands are tied here if we stay" Female singer, 2012, perhaps a bit too recent for PH music quizzers??

20."Too long trying to resist it, you've just gone and missed it. Its escaped your world" We know this is Muse, but which track?

I can't leave it unfinished, so here's the answers to the last few...

5. When I'm on my own, and out of my mind

9. Don't look ahead, there's stormy weather, another roadblock in our way

20.Too long trying to resist it, you've just gone and missed it

Perhaps we'll just wait for the Toad to return...
