What music bits have you just bought?

I've literally got room left for half a pedal on my board & our bass wallah has been moaning at me that I'm using a delay pedal as a reverb & he's right, so I've just bought one of these.
I've got a few mooer pedals, pretty pleased for the outlay. Need to be careful with my clumsy big feet though as I keep stepping on 2 at once!Edited by davidd on Thursday 14th August 11:58
Little bit different, but I picked this up a few months ago:
Holton H200 Bb/f alto horn (with stopping/A valve)
Bought as a second instrument, a bit more secure on the high notes, barely used and about half its new price. Had a Paxman alto horn that this replaces which does the job but lacks a little something - 50 years old this year though and a lovely old thing, completely handbuilt.

Yeah man. After years freelancing in other peoples studios, ive taken the plunge and opened my own. Im an analogue guy through and through, although I use computers and digital stuff I wanted the studio to be hybrid so I can record to tape or use the computer. Ive worked on one of these before and this one came up for sale through someone I know. So I took the plunge. Ill post some piccys of the studio when we finish.NiceCupOfTea said:

Would not have a clue what to do with it, but I do love the engineering in any wind instrument.Holton H200 Bb/f alto horn (with stopping/A valve)

[quote=Driller]Looks like it says Soundcraft?
Beautiful desk, don't forget to post those pics and list all your outboard too. Some tech details of studio structure sound isolation/acoustic treatment would be interesting![/quote
Yeah its a Soundcraft from 1979. Studio should be finished in the next 2 weeks.

The older alto (1964) was actually one of Paxman's early prototypes - as such it's not as good as later designs, but the detail in the design is incredible.

I just got a new toy.
love the use of the Ipad App to change settings, no more crawling on the floor twiddling knobs.
I was considering the amp version of this until I discovered the Boss eband.love the use of the Ipad App to change settings, no more crawling on the floor twiddling knobs.
I think this kind of product is the future, modelling has come so far of late,with things like Axe Fx proving it can be done to a very high standard.
