I thought you said you prefered single coils?! wink

Anyway both those SGs look great, must get one one day.

You're right, I do indeed prefer the purity of a single coil pickup.

But I needed a Gibson with a bound fretboard and this met that requirement at a decent price, and looks nice too.

Did nearly fall due to a dip in the grass we were playing on, mind you. Bit hard to wander around, play and look where I'm going
Well my new favourite lady seems to manage it ok.

I may have accidentally just bought this.
Don't you just hate it when that happens!

The arrival of my Line6 G90 forced me to buy a rackmount kit for my Markbass head and Gator 3U rack-bag.

Now I'm feeling the rack mount urge and might have to see if the bank account can afford a Pod HDX Pro...

I'm selling a bunch. It's up to 11 which is frankly ridiculous & I'm running out of walls.

Going to see one of these soon, rather worried I might like it despite not being in the model, spec, colour or year of older Charvel I'm after...

Do you mind me asking what it is about this make, or this specific guitar, that appeals to you?

I think you must be the singer in my band. He covets anything with a Charvel badge, and has built several guitars with Charvel necks too.

I like the 86/87 models from Japan but I don't think Ive gone into full fanatic just yet! They had a rather awesome model lineup that seemed to cater for every taste and budget, and the quality and playability was meant to be rather awesome for a Japanese made. I'd really like a no nonsense Model 2, just a bridge pick up and Floyd rose style bridge for some 80s shred antics.

The picture dosent want to work, but its was the model 4, the HSS model with Active circuitry. I think I might like the feel but not the tone, at least I'm hoping so as I don't want to be £500 poorer...

What sort of band are you in, is it a very 'charvel' band or is that just your singers fetish?

We play mainly classic rock, he's got charvel necks on Strat and Tele bodies as well as a few Model 4s. Looking at adding some Poison stuff to the set list though, which will be more pointy headstock time. If you've got 10 minutes spare have a look at facebook.com/wastelandangelsband where there's a video of us playing Substitute with Russ on his Charvel/Strat hybrid.

Oh ok, yeah some of the poison stuff might be quite tricky if its Ritchie Kotzen stuff, so you need something pointy wink

Ill have to check you out!

I'd like to be able to return a link, but sadly my E.P has taken longer than I first thought (bloody perfectionism...)

Not at all.

I love the look, plays a dream and the build quality is fantastic. I've bought a few guitars from Jeff at WG. This and a Huber would fit the bill nicely.

If I had the cash Id love an SG, preferable in a dark purple finish.

Finally got a set of strap locks on my LP, liking them a lot!

Also bought a couple of sets of these D'Addario NYXL strings for my LP and Tele, they are seriously fantastic!

Really brought out the tone in the Telecaster, it is like a whole new guitar. Brought out some clarity too on the Gibson, especially on the neck pickup. Will see how long that lasts but I am a convert!

Borkfactor I've been meaning to buy some for myself, where did you get the strap locks from? I'll be interested to find out how the strings last. I change mine every two weeks or so (Ernie Ball Slinkies) as I find by then they're losing their tone and starting to look dull, even though I wipe them down after every time I play.

Love the colour of your LP, is it Wine Red?
