Come on, Come Over - Jaco Pastorius. Have always liked this one, still can't quite play it after many attempts at learning it though!

What Is Hip - Tower Of Power. Prestia/Garibaldi are one of my favourite rhythm sections. So many great basslines.

She Caught The Katy - The Blues Brothers soundtrack. Played by "Duck" Dunn I believe. Fantastic note choice.

Turn This Thing Around - Dumpstaphunk. I'm liking these guys recently, they seem to have such an effortless groove.

I'm sure there are plenty more that will come to mind shortly!

Funnily enough The Stranglers' Peaches sprang to mind.

Trevor horn has done some cracking bass lines, I was going to say FGTH's Two Tribes, but this live performance is not so much a line as a macramé rope:

peace sells intro - megadeth good shout.

Maiden - The Clairvoyant, Stranger in a strange land, fear of the dark - alot of steves work is arpeggiated during teh quiet parts of tracks but it still works.

Sabbath - Paranoid - Geezers walking bassline in that track is awesome and he can still do it all live.

For whom the bell tolls - Metallica

The Cure - Primary - iirc both guitars aBass on this track.
The Cure - love cats and many others.

guns and roses - you could be mine, sweet child o mine

bon jovi - keep the faith.

Motorhead - Overkill (an oft underrated classic imho).

Indeed, that and Bomber are amazing tunes. It seems the only Motorhead record that ever gets played on the radio is Ace of Spades. frown

I'm reading top bass man Guy Pratt's autobiography at the moment (played with Floyd, Brian Ferry, loads of others). He refers to Bernard Edwards repeatedly as a deity.

Not sure about just a one...but pretty anything funked over by Larry Graham would suffice;

Two of the easiest in the world to play, but both cool as... I wanna be adored (Roses), Come Together (Beatles). Great bass lines that carry the whole tune.

Tool schism, another cool line. Peace Sells and Orion as I think others have mentioned are great metal ones too.

Took me nearly two months to learn to play 'Teen Town' (to speed), so it has to be that. (Complete waste of time of course, but it just had to be done).
