Too many to mention, there are the relatively simple groove lines e.g Groove is in the Heart to James Jameson e;g For Once in My Life.

So a few of my favs - including the two above..

Do I Do - can add almost any bassline on a Stevie Wonder track
What is Hip
Walk on the Wild Side
Hair - Larry Graham
Chic - all of it
Aeroplane - RHCP
Hysteria - Muse
Son of a Preacher man - Dusty

Goodness me, the list could potentially be endless
Japan Swing - Mick Karn at the height of his playing powers
Billy Idol Sweet 16 - Marcus Miller
Muse Hysteria
Dream Theater - John Myung making some thunderous noises
Lightning Seeds Change
The Charlatans - The only one i know
Pearl Jam Even Flow - Jeff Ament playing some cool fretless bass
The Firm Radioactive - Tony Franklin bringing fretless to Rock music
Blue Murder Jelly Roll - Tony Franklins bass line is the best thing about this.
The Almighty Jonestown Mind - Floyd London has a fat bass line in this.

Not sure of she's been mentioned already however I've just learned about Rosanna Nicolosi and I'm bowled over by her playing on this track with Billy Cobham and Brian Auger:

There's not much about her on the net - is she well known or in the 'underrated' class?

Found my fave on easter Sunday, after not knowing what it was for over a decade!

I had always thought it was RHChilliPeppers but no-one could identify it for me.
Heard it on radio and managed to Shazam it:
Bug Powder Dust by Bomb The Bass. The bassline is off some random 1970s Brazilian tune played by the Weather Report bassist apparently...

Anyway here:

Same era and influenced by the disco sound Bill Wyman's bass on Miss You needs a mention.
