That One Album
Discussion
Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not by Arctic Monkeys is my album I love from start to finish.
All time favorite is a toss up between two but they both have songs I never listen to, OK Computer (Fitter, Happier) and In Rainbows (Videotape) by Radiohead.
Lately I've listened to Rumours by Fleetwood Mac a lot though. Quickly becoming an all time favorite.

On my own in the house earlier, I decided to rifle through my CDs for one to play loud whilst my wife was out. I chose Ten by Pearl Jam as I'd not listened to the full album for years, and sort of remembered that every track was a good 'un.
Sadly not. Most of the tunes are very strong, but there are a couple I don't get on with and it got me thinking.
Clarkson once said that Who's Next is the only album where he enjoys every single tune on it. So I thought of some of my favourite albums:
Rust In Peace
Vs
Texas Flood
Superunknown
Black Sabbath
Paranoid
Deep Purple In Rock
Led Zep II
Led Zep IV
Trespass
Foxtrot
I love all the above albums dearly, but they all have at least one track that's a bit - for me - average, let's say.
There is one, though, where - hand on heart - I can say I really like every single track :
So, what's your "failsafe" album? That one where every track for you is as good as the next?
You've great taste!Sadly not. Most of the tunes are very strong, but there are a couple I don't get on with and it got me thinking.

I like almost every Led Zep track and the same goes for SRV.
This is a great album too, like every track

Fantastic shout. Also agree about Appetite for Destruction, but must disagree with OP about PJ Ten
I had another blast of Led Zep I again earlier, and it really does tick all the boxes for me.

Appetite for Destruction - not a bad song on it , gotta be the best debut album ever!
Cannot disagree there sounds just as good as it did when I first put the vinyl (vinyl... ) on in 1987!!! 1987!!!failsafe for me....
Seventh Son or Live after Death my Maiden
Automatic for the People - REM
Peace Sells...Megadeth (hands down their best work imho, Rust in Peace is over rated, its over produced and apart from Lucretia, Holy Wars and H18 is too samey[runs and hides].
Joe Satriani and Crystal Planet gets a frequent high volume airing
Metallica - Master of Puppets unquestionably changed my life as I've said on previous threads of this ilk.

I have a long list of favourite albums, for day this:
Because I saw Jane's Addiction perform it last night an Brixton's O2 Academy
Me too, stunning album and a good shout!!Because I saw Jane's Addiction perform it last night an Brixton's O2 Academy
Perry Farrell's side project Satellite Party produced a stunning album as well.
Quite different, but I can always listen to this
Ten and Nevermind are the usual preferred 'empty house' albums for the very reason of this thread. Others that I can listen to all the way through time and again, without wanting to skip a track...
Muse - Absolution
Massive Attack - Mezzanine
Madness - The Rise and Fall - yes, seriously
Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights
SOAD - Mezmerize

AC/DC; Back in Black
Bob Marley; Legend

I know they are compilations but can listen to them all without the urge to skip a track.
Exactly what I was trying to get across in my OP!Bob Marley; Legend
Art of Noise; Best of...

Nom de Ploom mentioned Peace Sells.... by Megadeth; I do enjoy it, helped in no short measure by Chris Poland's jazz-tinged lead work. Rust In Peace, though, trumps it for production / relentless controlled aggression / DM's technical rhythm work (which is leagues ahead of his work on PSBWB) / Friedman's modal soloing.
IMVHO.
ETA : I thought Back In Black was a stand-alone album, not a compilation? Not that it matters; it's a copper-bottomed classic as far as I'm concerned.

Hold Your Fire by Rush is fantastic from start to finish. Their best album.
Tai Shan? The song even the band laugh about?
This is right up there for me.
