Clarkson once said that Who's Next is the only album where he enjoys every single tune on it...
Yet on the telly show with Danny Baker he plumped for 'Crime of the Century' by Supertramp as the apogee of rock albums (although Who's Next was his first purchase apparently).

I'd plump for Breakfast in America by Supertramp - still have it in the car and although the slower tracks are not my preference they are still acceptable, and show what the band can do.

And that album cover as well - needs to be 12" to do it justice.

Apologies for being boring, but my choice has to be Rumours by Fleetwood Mac.

The best version is the 2004 remastered album with Stevie Nicks’ wonderful ‘Silver Springs’ restored to its rightful place.

Metallica's black album comes close to a no-skipper for me too.
yes

Agree with some of the others, Rust in Peace is perfect, as is Seventh Son. Pink Floyd Wish you were here?

Good calls. I'd pick Dark Side of the Moon instead though.

I'd add Dream Theater's "Scenes form a Memory" too.

I don't listen to/buy albums much, my preferred music is dominated by singles rather than albums. However if pushed...

You're missing out dude. It's such a shame that the current market is moving away from albums.

A wonderful album, tainted (for me) by Have A Cigar which is my "skip-the-track" tune. Much like DSOM : great tunes, sublime musicianship, inspired lyrics. Apart from On The Run which is like a spoonful of sewage in a bucketful of wine so to speak.

It puzzles me that people consider albums 'favourites', as in their top 10/20 or whatever, where they even consider skipping tracks?

I've read similar before, not necessarily on here, along the lines of 'Yeah it's a really great album, there's only a couple of filler tracks that I skip'?? I'm sure my standards and preferences are different (not higher/lower) to many, but I'd be surprised in my top 200 albums I would skip a track, nevermind a top 25 or whatever. Yes there's often going to be standout tracks, it might not be because they're 'better' but down to an association of it being the first off the album you heard, or something attached to that track personally or whatever.

Anyway, an obvious few from me:

Prodigy - Music for the Jilted Generation

Slayer - Reign in Blood, Seasons in the Abyss

Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas

Burzum - Hvis Lysett Tar Oss

Paradise Lost - Icon

Satyricon - The Shadowthrone, Nemesis Divina

Faith No More - From Out Of Nowhere

Mgla - With Hearts Towards None

Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger

There are a lot, a LOT, of strong contenders here already, but as a "skip no tracks" album, this is hard to beat:
