Primal Scream's Robert Young dead.

Former Primal Scream songwriter/guitarist has died, very sad about this as The Scream are an excellent band who made some great music, Screamadelica (not many albums are life changing but this certainly was) and Vanishing Point being my personal faves.

He left the band some in 2006 after ongoing drug problems began to take their toll.

Always been a fan of the music, seen them live a few times but didn't know much about them until I read Alan McGee's autobiography a few weeks ago... Not a huge fan of Screamadelica in terms of wanting to listen to on a regular basis but it's undoubtedly one of the most ground-breaking, game-changing albums of the last 25 years - RIP.

Great band, seen them so many times over the years & this is a shock. He lived just down the road from me too. Bad times.
