Just finished watching it. Excellent. Nice to know it's still possible to play and sing like that at that age (if you're Jeff Lynne that is).
There was a woman violin player at the front who looked rather odd, I thought. Her clothes and hairstyle were somewhere between surreal and bizarre.

Glad it wasn't just me that got a bit emotional. My only explanation is that ELO provided the soundtrack to a large part of my childhood and all the memories hit me with one enormous thump. As a kid I practically wore out my a copy of "Out of the Blue", but by the time I was old enough to go to a concert they had stopped touring and I had resigned myself to probably never being able to see them live. Anybody know if you can get hold of the T-shirts for the day? They had sold out of the ELO ones when I got there, which was a little disappointing.
We were guests of Jeff and he is a top guy. Had back stage VIP passes so got to meet Paloma Faith, Billy Ocean, Gregory Porter amongst others and had a great day. It was odd making a brew in the dressing room tent next to Blondie who was also making one

They said that they were getting a late delivery in circa 8.30pm and you could leave your contact details if you really wanted one! We left details. Ambled back to the merchandise tent after ELO finished and it was all closed up. Fingers crossed they utilise the contact details list and we get a call. same hereOkay I admit to being a grumpy old git when I posted this, but truth is last gig I went to (Suzanne Vega in Birmingham) everyone was so reverential and keeping themselves to polite clapping I felt a bit sorry for her. The last stadium concert I went to (Springsteen at Coventry) everyone, young and old, seemed massive fans, made a lotta noise, but were I think listening and respectful.
These are sometimes once in a lifetime events, why would you not want to listen?

I started watching it on iplayer but switched off after about 5 mins. I wanted to hear ELO not the audience doing communal singing. Jeez, if you wanna sing along do it in your car ffs!
Every artist that performed was turning the microphone towards the audience as a signal to join inBilly Ocean got the audience to sing the opening line to When the going gets Tough
IMO iPlayer doesn't do the whole event justice!
Sure you can sit at home on your comfy sofa and watch it.
Being there - the audience were clapping, dancing, singing, - I actually commented to my good lady that as soon as they started Mr Blue Sky the audience would get really loud
I don't think iPlayer shows where the audience were all shouting WE WANT MORE after ELO went off for the second time.
