Morrissey has cancer

Celebrities don't interest me, never have.

With Morrissey though, it's different. His music and his persona appeal to me in a way that I can't put into words, and I am devastated to hear this news. I'll be there, fingers and toes crossed, to see him sing the songs that saved our lives, in London on November 29th.

I've long since fallen out of love with Morrissey's latter music but the Smiths stuff is amazing.

I also enjoy the way he seems to wind up various loonies (who profess to hate him) on here - who like to waste their own time telling us just how much they don't like him!

I've liked his music since being a teenager in the 80's ........ Yes he has got some absurd views, and I find it comical when he goes off on one, as I can't take that part of him seriously

I absolutely detest Morrissey as a person and as a musician. In my opinion The Smiths were awful too. It sucks for him that he has cancer and I wouldn't wish it on anybody but I don't really care to be honest. To paraphrase what he said himself; if he dies, he dies.

I love the Smiths,loved a lot of his solo stuff can't stand his views on most things but they are his views so I don't care about that. Terrible thing cancer and I hope he gets rid of it and returns to form. As for the mentions about his book,it's terrible so I doubt his cancer would help it sell any more and that's from a fan!
