Technically that is a 'talk box' not a vocoder, they work differently; but both those tracks use it.

Joe Walsh uses it in this

Peter Frampton is a class act and Frampton Comes Alive is one of the great albums.
Joe Walsh used a voicebox on Rocky Mountain Way which would pre-date FCA, the term muppet should be reserved for people like the Gallagher brothers and Mick Hucknall.

I bought 'Frampton Comes Alive' recently (£5 in Sainsburys), probably the last man on the planet to do so, and while it's agreeable enough I couldn't see what all the fuss was about.

I've loved the Dan since I bought can't buy a thrill in '74, or '75?. Their masterpiece is definitly Aja. The making of Aja DVD is also fastinating, a must-have for any Steely Dan lover, I learned a lot about jazz harmony from watching the DVD.
I've seen them live twice, and they're on my list of best concerts ever seen. That a 12-piece band all that complicated st perfectly and LIVE should be a lesson for all the would-be musicians that're dominating the charts these days. Most of them are wkers who don't have a clue about what music really is....
Anorak mode: their name isn't from a vibrator, they're mamed after a huge steel dildo that appears in a novel by William S. Burroughs, The naked lunch.

Hey nineteen,that's 'Ritha Franklin
She don't remember the queen of soul
Hard times befallen sole survivers
She thinks I'm crazy, but I'm just growin' old...

Well the Livenation pre-sale was useless.

You could not buy two seats together. Single seats up in the gods at the end of the arena or almost behind the stage.

As for their captcha - I've got RSI clicking on all the ones with street signs and or store fronts or the ones you draw round the signs. My record was four of those whilst looking for new tickets.

I won't be using Livenation again.

In the end got them through AXS / O2 before the general sale tomorrow. On the ground ones for £95 each.

Can't wait now.
