Hello all,

I don’t venture into this part of PH often so wavey

We are starting to seriously get the wheels rolling for our wedding next year and im after recommendations for someone decent or somewhere to look.

I’m after a Solo acoustic guitarist and singer, someone quite young and that can do slow acoustic covers of quite recent/current songs.

Happy to pay top whack for someone decent.

Any idea where to start?

Event will be in Berkshire in July/August 2015.

I can highly recommend Albert Jones. He's a top guy, does weddings and does covers as well as his own songs. This is his Facebook page. He's got a load of videos on YouTube too if you have a search. smile

Edit - Here's a video from a bubble lift in the 3 Valleys ski area in France.

My friend/singing coach Tia might be suitable. She sings, and brings a guitarist with her. Has an amazing voice.

He is a great guitarist but doesn’t sing, so no good for us.

Since you want acoustic, It'll just be the singer/guitarist (same guy) Check these guys out - www.aprilblue.co.uk

I do their drumming, fantastic guys and very very talented. They will be able to look after you. And I know that their rates are very friendly wink They work as individuals, full band, or acoustic duo. Take your pick smile

Hi mate,
Randomly as I replied to your other thread about suits, i'm also in here quite often! I cannot recommend Emma-Jane Thommen highly enough. http://www.emma-janethommen.co.uk

Her website's not that up to date but there's plenty of her on youtube. Absolutely fantastic voice, plays both guitar and piano. Maybe it was the emotion of the day but her rendition of Chasing Cars was so spot on it had a few people in tears!

She's moving to LA so not sure if she'll still be here though.

Oh, and she's a hotty!

Ahhh sorry about that, I didn't know. I don't know anyone else guitar-wise but I do know a superb piano guy who does solo gigs and plays with his band as required. He's expensive though just as a warning!

If you like your acoustic covers to be of rockier songs, check out Iffy Gyro via Facebook. A relatively new duo formed by a couple of well established and well respected musicians in Yorkshire

In the interests of disclosure, I am about to recommend my brother. He is maidenhead based and will travel for Gigs.

He does some nice solo stuff (in my opinion).
