Always been a closet fan, the best of type stuff is music from my youth and makes a bell ring.

I watched a live performance on the tv from US "Artists den" or similar...

Very tight band, impressed.

Kind of always fancied seeing them, but haivng really seen how good the vocals are, I want to see them live for sure.

AQnyome else catch this ?

Is that the one where they are outside in a park?
If so yes I have seen it and have recorded it.
Seen them many times over the years, well worth a look if you get a chance.
Also if you get a chance to see Tillbrook solo or him with Chris Difford, well worth it.

Yes, I saw Glen Tilbrook at the short-lived Nantwich Acoustic Festival, just him and a guitar doing some of his solo stuff and some Squeeze stuff, it was great. Also the recent BBC4 documentary was good, had the pair of them talking and performing some stuff.

I went to see them a few years ago. They can certainly play, but there was no umph to the performance, it smacked of topping up the pension fund.

I saw them at Guilfest headlining the Saturday night. Madness headlined the Sunday.

Now, I'm not one for living in the past, I like to move with the times, and see new bands in the here and now, but that weekend was Nostalgia Nirvana for one who was born in 1970 and was ever so slightly too late to appreciate those bands in their prime.

Jimmy Cliff, Cherry Ghost, the King Blues, Simon friend, The Beat, Dub Pistols, and lots of others made that a great festival lineup for me.

I danced the entire Madness set with my 10 year old on my shoulders (it's OK, we were right at the back wink ) and I was soaked through and barely able to move when they left the stage.

One of my very favourite bands and have seen them many times - including at Madison Square Gardens in '89, Glenn and Chris on their own at Kidderminster Leisure Centre (from the sublime to the ridiculous!) and Glenn on his own with an acoustic a few years ago. Saw him pitch up outside the venue in Worcester in his campervan.

At the Kiddy show Glenn was out in the audience watching the support act and I asked if I could buy him a pint. 'No fanks' came the reply and later found that he was probably on the wagon at the time.

Always very entertaining and with such a great catalogue of songs. Glenn is a fantastic guitar player - his solo on Another Nail for my Heart is just brilliant - and his voice still stands up. Music just pours out of him.

Saw them last night. Two men, two guitars, and very much 'unplugged'.

Very happy to report that they were excellent. They played the whole back catalogue, with a bit of commentary and background in between. Many, many artists would settle for a voice a fraction of the quality of these two, with Tilbrooks probably better now than when I last saw them thirty years ago. The only down side was a rather contrived and unnecessary opening sequence, but I am really nit picking.

They were even happy to have a beer and a chat in the bar afterwards. Top blokes!

I was there too - Northampton Derngate. Due to last minute booking, we were up in the gods and the sound mix was a bit poor on the first couple of songs. After that though, no complaints at all. I agree about their voices, and Tilbrook's guitar picking was superb. Go and see them if you get the chance.
