Went to see the Who a few years ago and they were fantastic . So a new tour, great stuff BUT all tickets appear to be seated !
I can't see the point in going to see a band like the Who and being stuck in a seat ! ( or is that just me ? )

Not sure wether to bother now ! Maybe Daltrey and the boys are getting past it ?
( like the new single tho )

Every time I've seen them ,except at Charlton in 76, it has been seated but that didn't stop anyone from standing.
In fact Townshend once said, "if you don't get up we'll send the bouncers in" and on another occasion Daltrey said "seats are made for standing on".

On one of the early Quadrophenia tours, the one with Billy Idol and P J Proby, I was one row down from the top at Wembley with a bunch of drunks behind us. When Townshend swung his arm the place went wild and I thought we were going to be crushed by the drunks, when he threw his guitar in the air I was certain I was going to die.

daltrey's far from past it, still has a massive set of lungs on him and townshend still delivers on guitar [although the windmilling is a bit cringe these days].

they're headlining the abu dhabi grand prix gigs so deffo looking forward to this. last saw them in leeds around 2005.

Oh yeah, I missed that bit. There are hundreds of young singers and guitarists who wish they were "past it" like those 2.

The 'past it' remark was a bit tongue in cheek, certainly looked v far from it at the KC stadium a few years back.
And at least I'm guaranteed not to be the oldest at the concert !!
