The "Squeaky Drum Song" on LZ III is the most brilliant remastered track though isn't it???

I normally don't care too much for remastered/ reimagined stuff in particular Exile On Main Street left me cold
The Purple remasters are good when they keep it simple (the alternate guitar break on Smoke On The Water is superb but they fall apart on most of the "remixes"
In the Zeppelin stuff it seems different I've listened to "4" more than any of the others. I really think its well worth it.
Talking of "3" it really is a bit of an odd one in the series of albums they did
I can't wait for Physical Graffiti its an album I liked then loved in the 80's and started revisiting around 6 years ago IMHO its one of the best Rock LP's EVER made.

As a huge Zep fan, but ever bigger Bonham fanatic, I'm absolutely loving these. I could listen to Zeppelin all day long.

Just listening to Rock & Roll, I'm sure the bass drum is more prominent in the alt version; just reminds me how slow and lacking my right foot is next to JB.

Life is too short.
Don't play this game.
The magic and the majesty is right there on the original.
Other music that you will love is out there!

There's nothing wrong with having the original and the remastered version smile

Dear g,

I thought they'd been remastered already?
Are these the re-remasters?

Jet

they were remasterd some time back.
These have those clear mixes but also effectively are dual disc with the 2nd disc being alternate mixes.

As regards the other poster who thinks its playing a game its not as if I just buy endless copies of old stuff. I realised that happened when all the stones stuff started being released years ago. Likewise their are more Smiths "best offs" than there were studio albums I buy lots of music including on Saturday the maddest thing I have heard in years a Scott Walker thing that defies belief

Obviously missed something here, quick google and I find more places to waste my loot. Vinyl as well it would seem? I do have an annoying scratch on one or two originals.

More than ever - delightfully so; possibly my favourite track, certainly in my top 10, for LZ.

I have the originals on vinyl and CD. The new vinyl and CDs have much better sound, particularly the drums and the bass.

LZ III is a natural evolution in my opinion. Some just find the entirely acoustic second side surprising. I don't really know why given the inclusion of Black Mountainside, Babe, I'm gonna Leave You and Thank You on the first two albums.
