Didn't have a wedding dance, but we had the Ramones playing as she walked down to aisle at the start of the (civil) service.

No other reason than we both like it.

You and Me .... by the Goo Goo Dolls.... the lyrics are great, chosen for that reason... the tune however is up tempo....and was a last minute decision by my bride... a car crash dance wasn't over soon enough.
Origainlly it was going to be Breathe by Pearl Jam...much more school disco style swaying stuff..

memorbale though if only for our dreadful dancing (12 days ago smile )

Up the aisle to Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Queen)

Down the aisle after the deed to Mr Blue Sky (We got married at a plantation house in Florida, appropriate due to the 93 degrees heat)

Wedding dance was I've Found Lovin' by the fat back band. Just because it is epic.

Never a crossed word, etc etc smile

Generic track number 03, from the registry offices CD I believe.

That was all there was time for on our way out as the whole thing lasted 25 minutes. Unsurprisingly it only cost £120.. The divorce was £350 less than 2 years later hehe

Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin. Because we both like it.
However, neither of us realised quite how long the song is and neither of us had dance lessons.

For an old romantic, from an old Fred Astaire classic musical.

How could you believe me when I said I loved you when you know I've been a liar all my life.

There was a time, by the fun lovin criminals. Later on in the evening I did treat myself toa bit of pantera, walk and a bit of slayer.

We chose there was a time as its a great piece of music we both really like and its nothing gay or cheesy

Jack Johnson - Better Together

We first heard the song sitting in a beach cafe on a beautiful sunny day in Polzeath so it brings back happy memories. And without wanting to sound like a massive softy my wife and I really are better together. We also went on honeymoon to Hawaii so it's kind of fitting.

Great choice - did you have plenty of bass and emphasise the "now I doubt what the outcome will be" line? smile I tried to get some FLC on our day and when that was rejected went harder to see if I could steer things back but we ended up with Jamiroquai "Spend a Lifetime" which we like and none of the handful of guests recognised. Slightly gay / cheesy perhaps but hey it's a wedding.

No dancing or anything later, just the nice quiet day that we wanted with just the people we wanted there.

I would have liked Static-X - Love Dump but there was no point even asking.

Stand by Me.

Mainly cos its flipping amazing.

I did get our band to perform a Metallica track or two later in the evening, we also had the science of selling yourself short by less than jake, which is a particular fave for a group of us.
