Looking under the Novelty genre in iTunes brings up these weird songs.

Alan Sherman - Hello Mudduh, Hello Fadduh! - reached No.14 in 1963

Sex Pistols - Friggin in the Riggin. Amazingly got to No. 3 in 1979. I bet they did not play this on TOTP. I can remember this at school being played all the time in the youth club.

Lyrics are really NSFW! You have been warned!

I don't know whether this counts as an oddity, but a singer from a metal band, doing Wuthering Heights, in the original key as sung by Kate Bush.. Amazing..

Anyone remember the Barron Knights?
They used to do dreadful parodies of current hit records in the late '70s and early '80s.

Number 1 in 30 countries. 2 billion views on Youtube. For a pop dance tune sung in Korean. Don't get much odder than that.

Their first hit was "Call Up The Groups" back in 64, pretty sure I've still got the single somewhere

Another one NSFW, even though it would have been Ireland's Xmas no.1 in 2010 if it wasn't for the X Factor.
