A few weeks to go, so forgive me in there are imminent epics in the next six weeks, but what has really floated the PH boats this year? A couple of recent entries...

Sonic Highways obviously, I wasn't that impressed 1st time through, but a couple of real growers in there. Congregation is my favourite this far
The Great and Secret Show - Devilment. Danny Filths new project, I really, really like, the opening track and 'Even your blood group rejects me' are very good songs

Older releases...

Manslaughter by Bodycount. The two mixes of 99 Problems and the reanimation of Suicidal Tendancies Institutionalised are worth the purchase price alone
Linkin Parks Hunting Party is extremely good too, some excellent tracks on there

I did have Eminem and Pearl Jams offering on my list but they are 2013. Slim pickings this year

Overall, my vote goes to Linkin Park as its the one ive listened to the most this year

Gosh, I must be getting very old smile
Nothing from your list is even close to me, not to mention that some of the names are 100% new to me smile

Mogwai -Rave Tapes, just a really great album that encompasses everything I like in music coupled with 2 brilliant live performances this year.

Honourable mentions for:

Simian Mobile Disco - Whorl, takes your imagination away to the desert it was recorded in and their new direction is fantastic. The perfect late night music and if Mogwai hadn't released Rave Tapes it might have been album of the year for me.
Damon Albarn- Everyday Robots - better than anything released by Blur and in my opinion an equal for the masterpiece that is "The Good, The Bad and The Queen".

There are loads more I've bought and enjoyed but these are top 3, a pretty good year for recorded music all in all.

My album of the year, is The War On Drugs - Lost In The Dream.

It wears its influences on its sleeve (80s era Springsteen, Dylan, Dire Straits, Eagles etc) but feels fresh anyway. The long, building opener Under The pressure is the highlight for me.

Other notable mentions for:
Royal Blood
And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead
Ryan Adams
Warpaint
Ben Howard

Quite a few recent ones I haven't listened too enough yet - Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters... Catfish sound good from what I've heard. Need to get the album.

I bought a tonne of albums this year and for the most part have been disappointed. The ones that stand out and get repeat playing are:

Interpol, El Pintor
Beck, Morning Phase,
Alt-J, This is All Yours
This Will Destroy You, Another Language
Royal Blood, Royal Blood
Wild Beasts, Present Tense

The album I've listened to more than any other this year is Atlas by Real Estate. It's the one for me.

Interpol - 'El Pintor' (a real return to form), and The Gaslight Anthem - 'Get Hurt' are the best for me.

New Foo Fighters gets a resounding 'meh'.
