We saw him with the Sensational Space Shifters last night. Brilliant, I really like the new album but live it is just immense. The old Zep stuff was also done brilliantly.

I love Led Zeppelin, but have massive respect for Robert Plant for going his own way.

Saw him last night in Wolverhampton and he was as good, if not better, than he usually is. Nice mixture of his solo stuff interspersed with some Zeppelin classics thrown in with some interesting re-working of some of the classics. The band were tight as well

I can't remember the last time I ever saw a bloke enjoying himself so much at work.

No wonder he's resisting the offers to re-form Zeppelin for a mega-money making tour - he's having too much fun doing his day job.

It's fairly easy to see why he has no interest in a LZ tour. He doesn't need the money. He doesn't need the circus it would be. He doesn't need to sing in a pitch that he had 40 years ago. He doesn't need to be a part of a nostalgia wet dream for 50+ crowds. He doesn't need to resurrect a band that now has some fairly rough memories (even though Jason B is a phenomenal drummer). He's 66 and having the time of his life being with musicians who can play the eclectic world music he loves with absolute precision.

Rock on Robert.

Agreed.

I was (and still am) a big Zeppelin fan but those days are gone, I am also fortunate enough (and old enough) to have seen them in back the day but a re-formed LZ would only be a shadow of their former self.

After seeing (DVD) and listening to the 2007 show, I think some things are best left in the past.

Good to see that he is still going strong but LZ has been dead too long to be resurrected IMO...
