Synth wish list...
Discussion
There are loads of soft synths emulating old analogue favourites, but for me soft synths should be going to places that original hardwear couldn't reach, hence why I prefer synths like Zebra which aren't just trying to be a cheap copy of something old. That said, Korg's 'soft' MS20 is apparently so good that it's regraded as a credible iteration of the model in is own right, rather than a copy, and I'm also rather partial to their 'soft' PolySix.

Roland TB303
I have a TB-303. I saw it languishing dustily in the corner of a studio about 20 years ago and offered the guy who owned it £350 as I thought that was about what it was worth. He accepted and dug out the box and manual and it became mine. I still have it and have since added a Kenton 5 Socket conversion so I can hook it up to a midi to CV converter. My brother has three of the little buggers! An unmolested 303, a 'Devilfish' and an 'as new' 303 which he built from scratch after sourcing all the components as spares!Hopefully gonna get a Synthesizers.com system sometime in 2015.
Currently got a Korg Prophecy, Korg MS20 mini, Roland SH201, Doepfer Dark Time sequencer, Doepfer Dark Energy synth module.
Only got into electronic music in recent years after playing guitar in metal bands for a long time.

I've always wanted a Roland D-50.
I have one of those too. I got it off eBay from a bloke who lived ten minutes' drive away, so I drove over to collect it. When I arrived at his house he recognised my car. Turns out he was the guy who did the PDI on it at the dealership when it arrived new!MitchT said:

My brother bought an unused box fresh 303 for £30 a couple of months back.Bargain of the century!
I had a Jupiter 8 until a few years ago - great sounds but so limited in terms of storage, speed of loading sounds etc now that we are used to monster amounts of storage.
I still have a Roland MC 202 which I love.
Still would love a Yamaha CS80, Mini Moog, Prophet 5/10 or Korg Delta.

I know. It was a slight gamble as it needed a new CMOS battery fitting but I fitted a new one for him and it works perfectly.
The dude he got it from bought it back in the day and didn't have a clue how to use it and left it boxed up nice and safe. Got the manuals, warranty card and everything in mint condition too.
