Gig Plans 2015

Just added Xentrix at Camden Underworld in October to my list - always good live band, although what sold this to me was the choice of support band, namely Acid Reign (albeit the "rebooted" version). I travelled down from Scotland for their "last show" at the Marquee (some 24yrs ago)..

Good call, I'll be at the Manchester show. Xentrix have been absolutely stunning since their return and the new tracks they are writing (recording as we speak) are mega, back to their 'Shattered Existence' sound.Going to be good to see Acid Reign again even if it is only H left.
Shrapnel are worth a watch, too.

Another big one to add to my list -
Deathcrusher Tour - Obituary, Carcass & Voivod - 30th October @ The Ritz, Manchester
This one will be brutal
Dafuq? Think I need to get myself to that!Deathcrusher Tour - Obituary, Carcass & Voivod - 30th October @ The Ritz, Manchester

I'm rubbish, nowadays, for keeping up with what gigs are on. My tastes are pretty varied, I'm off to Y Not festival at the end of the month, then the week after, Bloodstock. In October, I think, seeing Editors in Leeds and Paradise Lost in Manchester
Ended up seeing Nothing but Thieves last night. Was supposed to be going with others, but they bailed after the tube strike. Shame, as they were pretty good. If they can get some decent airplay on the radio I think they could be quite big. Surprisingly good cover of Immigrant Song too!
Just booked to see Morrissey at Hammersmith Apollo on 21/9. Standing ticket, with the add ons and postage works out at 76 quid!
Probably works out at about a fiver a song.
Only paying it because I'm a total Smiths/Mozzer fanboy, it is steep for a single (non-arena, unknown support) gig.
(Yes, SilverSixer, I'm waiting for your helpful feedback!)

Got quite a few gigs lined up for the next few months!
Anthrax/Slayer, Sepultura, Skindred, Bullet for my valentine, Killing Joke (Maybe), Fear Factory, InMe.
i'm sure there's more, too. gonna be a fun year.
And as I posted this, my brother messaged me asking about Prodigy in November, hmm

He's warming up in Hull before the nights in London, pretty close for me, looked at the tickets this morning, £55 each! I saw him in Leeds in March so going to pass on this one.hacksaw said:

Managed to buy tickets for New Order in November at Brixton Academy. One of my favourite bands; I've only seen them once before some years ago and IIRC Sumner can't sing live to save his life - don't care.
I last saw them at Finsbury Park before they split with Hooky. You're spot on about the singing and there was a bit of embarrassing dad-dancing going on too, but frankly once they cranked into True Faith I couldn't care less. Would be interested to know what they are like without Hooky. I decided to give this one a swerve at nearly 50 quid a ticket.
I've still got my 'Live at Brixton' gig on VHS from back in the day - may give that a whirl instead!

I see that Motorhead and Saxon are doing 4 gigs around the country in January. Half-tempted, although I've seen them both separately over the past few months
I know they do these gigs together every now and then, I think I saw the Bristol date the last time around. My main gripe is that the billing should be reversed!Gassing Station | Music | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
