WASP are playing Nottingham 19th Sept and Wolverhamption on 21st Sept. I just happen to be back in the UK between 18th and 22nd September. Umm might just have to go one of the concerts.

Not seen this thread before! Been to quite a few this year.

Which venue? I tried to book London Alexandria palace, but they were sold out within hours of going on general sale!

If you fancy a trip over the bridge there's a good band at the louisiana, Bristol on 26 sept, £7 ticket.

a few recent additions to my roster:

Craig Finn of The Hold Steady (solo) at The Slaughtered Lamb
Kunt & The Gang in Reading ... he's a very naughty boy!
Morrissey at Hammersmith Apollo
The Bluetones At Kentish Town Forum
Billy Bragg at the Union Chapel
Frank Turner at Ally Pally
John Grant at Hammersmith Apollo
Shed Seven at The Roundhouse

a tidy final quarter of the year for me!

Oh right? Have I committed a bit of a verbal faux pas!? I went to see One direction (yes i know.. took the kid sister) in Cardiff in June, but cant remember if it was the same place.

I like their sound, more listening needed! I'm English and live close to Bristol so not a big trip either!

We watched them support we are the ocean and with 3 songs they had everyone watching, not often a support band pulls that off.

They sound like the best bits of every alkaline trio , ataris all put together.

There also supporting young guns in november, if you fancy something a bit different get tickets for the date at the watering hole , perranporth.

No faux pas! It's just that I know it as the CIA (Cardiff International Arena) before it got corporate sponsorship! Much like they are going to rename the Millenium Stadium the Principality Stadium!

I saw Boy Jumps Ship on a festival poster shared by a band I follow on facebook I think, but I can't for the life of me think what band or festival it was. Strange little coincidence really.

I've just got home from seeing WASP at the Troxy in London.

Ears ringing, smile on my face, great night!

Blackie didn't engage with the audience very much, as usual, but he can still rock with the best of them! music

I'm going to the Nottingham Rock City gig on 21st - can't bloody wait, saw them at Glastonbury and they were brilliant.

Also got tickets for Ben Ottewell, Wolf Alice/Drenge, Lucy Rose and Beans on Toast in the next few months.

Haven't seen this thread before smile

Saw The Offspring a few weeks ago at Brixton - great fun as ever. Seeing The Cribs up in Manchester next month, I got a friend who lives that way the Offspring ticket on a "gig-for-a-gig" basis and he chose them, I hadn't really listened to The Cribs before but going through their stuff I knew a lot more than I thought. Also seeing Frank Turner again in November at Ally Pally.

Best gig this year, by far, was The Subways at Shepherd's Bush back in April. Awesome gig, came out battered and bruised. biggrin

I seemed to stop going to gigs very often so have started to make a point of going. Very glad about it too smile

The men who will not be blamed for nothing

Uncle acid
Blackberry smoke
King king
Vintage trouble
Temperance movement (should really be in the 2016 thread!)

Finally got round to sorting out my Black Peaks tickets. They are supporting Lonely The Brave, don't know any of their stuff.

A few other bands I'm seeing have support acts that I don't know. Anyone know these bands/recommend any tracks?

Feed The Rhino
Neck Deep
Pvris

Your off to see fall out boy then wink

Pvris check out fire/my house, we caught them supporting lower than atlantis , there poppy as fk but the songs are mega catchy.

Neck deep are straight up pop punk, every song is verse then chorus at twice the speed then slow it down again for next verse.

Are you coming to Bristol for boy jumps ship , Monday night?
