Walter Trout and his band always does this. I remember when they played The Point in Cardiff (2007 maybe or 2008) the whole band came out and chatted with everyone for at least an hour. There was one girl who had met Walter the year before and given him a demo CD. Not only did he remember her, he said he'd put her CD in his car and told her his favourite track by name, so he had definitely listened to it. He gave the girl his wife's number because she is the manager of the band and had some contacts etc. Nice guy Walter Trout.
It was a real shame what happened to The Point in Cardiff, as that was a great venue. I guess there's no hope of it ever reopening as a music venue now?Might have to check out the Tramshed if there's anything interesting on when I'm there again - looks like it might be a decent venue.
I went to the Louisiana in Bristol and thought I was at the wrong venue as the downstairs you could hardly hear a thing yet once upstairs in the gig room it was loud as fk and sound quality was top notch too.
Next up for me is Bernie Torme at the Institute, Birmingham on the 30th.
I'm meeting up with him and the boys for a few beers before and after the show
Then Motley Crue follow a week later at Wembley Arena.

Saw aditors at the Hammersmith Apollo last night. Loads of sound issues, they were off stage, then back then off again. Gave up and left before the end. Pity as they're a good live band and it must have been difficult for them.
Really surprised by this as agree they are a great live band (seen them 4 times now) and arguably Hammy O is a great venue, just what they don't need as they are trying to claw back some popularity.I'm seeing them in Portsmouth tomorrow at a much smaller venue (circa 700), hope they don't suffer the same problems as really looking forward to it.
Went to see a fairly new(ish) band last weekend called Palace - I think they're on their first or second EP. Really good IMO, anyone who likes a bit of mellow bluesy indie stuff (not everyone's cup of tea to be fair) should check them out - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAqgpEfBEVx2CBCaO...
