Anyone know if Faithless and The Prodigy are good live? I see they're playing in Birmingham a day apart in a few weeks and want to go as I loved their first few albums, then they both went a bit 'meh'. If they play just old stuff I'll be happy, but if I trudge all the way over to Birmingham, get a hotel for a night, etc. then they both play the newer stuff I don't think I'll enjoy it.

Tonight , eagles of death metal.

Have a feeling it's either going to be great fun or they'll be pretty boring after 30 mins.
I didn't really know their music and loved them when I saw them on Sunday.

I saw Faithless a few weeks ago in Barcelona.

It was a bit of an odd crowd since it was a corporate event, but they were good all the same.

I finally got to see Alabama 3 at Frome's Cheese & Grain last Friday and they were great.

If you haven't seen them, then catch them "at a venue near you" You won't be disappointed

Tickets went on sale at 10.00 a.m. today. Within 1 minute all resale sites had them. 'Normal' sites for the public were sold out. By 10.10 a.m. the cheapest had gone from £50 to £250 (advertised as £90 until you begin the purchase process)

When will someone do something about this blatant scam?

Haha well done, especially if you got them at face value. I'm just about giving up on the big concerts now.

Saw Michael Monroe and Glenn Hughes recently. MM was the better of the two, always an energetic show. Club Academy in Manchester is a great venue and I go there to see anyone I'm vaguely interested in.
Saw Motley Crue the other night at the MEN and it was rather spectacular.
I got Stone Roses tickets today and have Whitesnake, Dead Daisies and Uncle Acid lined up.
Another great Manchester venue is the Albert Halls. Saw Drenge and Wolf Alice there recently.

As long as people use these sites they will continue. Secondasry ticketing is a foul commercialism that should be, but wont be, stopped.

I only pay face value for any tickets these days, but then I rarely got to venues that hold more than 2000 people.

Out of interest, whats the line up for Rainbow ?

I don't know. Blackmore has said he's found a very good new vocalist and wants to play rock and roll, but that's about it. I saw RJD as vocalist with Black Sabbath many years ago and wish I could have seen Rainbow during that era. I've also see Deep Purple many times, but never seen Blackmore... doesn't look like an ordinary fan stands much of a chance nowadays.

The band's loyalty to Manchester is nice.

Saw the almost classic lineup of Rainbow but with Graham Bonnet @ Wembly Arena - they played for about 75 minutes....

Only played on one album and got sacked -like most everyone who played in Rainbow. I think Blackkmore has serious issues tbh.
