Tickets went on sale at 10.00 a.m. today. Within 1 minute all resale sites had them. 'Normal' sites for the public were sold out. By 10.10 a.m. the cheapest had gone from £50 to £250 (advertised as £90 until you begin the purchase process)

When will someone do something about this blatant scam?

Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow

Prices are set by sellers and may be lower or higher than face value. Prices exclude booking and delivery fees (applicable by transaction). Original face value price per ticket (excluding fees): 51.33 - 181.55 G
As long as people use these sites they will continue. Secondasry ticketing is a foul commercialism that should be, but wont be, stopped.

I only pay face value for any tickets these days, but then I rarely got to venues that hold more than 2000 people.

Out of interest, whats the line up for Rainbow ?
I was fortunate to get some in the Planet Rock pre sale - my wife was at home and had her instructions. The pre sale tickets all seemed to be at the back of the hall with nothing on the floor. Amplify had hospitality packages which got you near the front for £180 which looks like good value now compared with the secondary market which just seems like touting made legal. I can't help hankering after the old days when you stood in a queue - at least that was equitable and there was an element of control over your destiny.

If you haven't seen it yet, the band is Ronnie Romero (vocals), Jens Johansson (keys), David Keith (drums) and Bob Noveau (bass). The last two are from Blackmore's Night. Never heard of the singer before.

Got a few coming up:

- Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes
- Strypes at Koko in Camden Town
- Tedeschi Trucks Band at the IndigO2

Haven't really been to see any live music for years, so looking forward to this little lot.
Tedeschi Trucks Band tonight. Just f**king brilliant - her voice, his guitar and a brilliant band of musicians !! All rounded off with an epic encore of "With a little help from my friends" !!

Had proper spine-tinglingly good moments - haven't been moved by music like that in a long time !!!

Well I was umming and ahhhing about Download Fest 2016. My mrs told me to just book the ticket and get it done.

They just announced Korn, Deftones, Megadeth, Motorhead and Disturbed, plus more tonight still to come. That goes with Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden.

That alone for me is a top notch (if the guys from Black Sabbath and Motorhead are still with us...) line up already.

Manchester Apollo in the late Seventies. In the rain for several hours for Thin Lizzy tickets. Got soaked. Later before dinner my father and mother bumped into Phil Lynott in a lift at the Midland Hotel and she asked him if he was a 'singer with a rock band' as he was dressed pre-gig in all leather, lol. She managed to get his autograph though.

Saw Suede at the Roundhouse in Camden last night. Never been a huge fan of their music, but they really are excellent live!

Went to the o2 in Bristol last might to see vintage trouble.

Not really that that impressed, there very much like james brown , the first few songs are awesome then you realise it's just the same thing repeated, plus they headlined and only played for a hour and a quarter.

At the o2 they've also installed airport metal detectors everyone walks thru to get into the venue.

WHat's the general feeling amongst PH gig-goers following Friday's events in Paris?

I'm personally carrying on as normal - have Frank Turner at Ally Pally, The Maccabees in Reading and Shed Seven at The Roundhouse to see out the year.

Will be gutted if any of those are cancelled due to security concerns, although I'm goingto show up half an hour before I normally would as searches are likely to take longer.

+1

Went to see Gary Clark Jr on Saturday night in Camden - I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about not going, as I was taking my 15 year old daughter, but I decided that I wasn't going to let it get in the way of us enjoying what turned out to be a great show.

Last gig was EODM in Norwich a couple of weeks back and I'll be carrying on as normal, looks like Prodigy and Faithless are a no for me (logistics + mate getting time off) but hopefully seeing Zebrahead and Patent Pending in London weekend after next.

Yep went to see Ihsahn at The Underworld the night after, personally I think it shouldn't affect anything. You are probably more likely to get hit by a bus on the way to a gig to be honest. The Megadeth gig at Wembley Arena was apparently packed as well. Just a shame they didn't play Holy Wars...

Carried on as normal although I did opt to stay at ground level and I did note which fire escapes were furthest from the main entrance

Agreed, carry on as normal. I've got Paul Weller @ Leeds Arena, next Sunday and also seeing Shed Seven, in Manchester, in December.

Carry on otherwise they win.

Saw Black Peaks tonight. Holy st.

They were supporting Lonely The Brave and blew them away, not that the majority of the crowd realised. Seems LTB have a big following...

Had a chat with the Black Peaks guys at the merch stand - they may or may not have mentioned a festival appearance for next year that I am very happy with.

Lonely the brave are quite a broody van, there songs take a while to build up.

LTB played very well but it's a little too watered down for me. Nice background music I guess. The rhythm guitarist has very little to do until the chorus in most songs bless him.

I'll have a listen to nothing but thieves cheers for the recommendation.

Saw Motley Crue at Yas Arena, Abu Dhabi last night. Excellent concert, clear (and loud) guitars, bass, drums and vocals. Loads of energy from Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee with Mick Mars doing the best he could given his condition.

Really glad I got to finally see them play.
