One I forgot when I started this topic.
Hayseed Dixie in March. Should be a laugh and a rare gig where the musical tastes of me and the mrs coincide, so I'll be taking her. A new small venue for me, Guildford Boiler room.
They do a good duelling banjo routine. Well worth seeing.Hayseed Dixie in March. Should be a laugh and a rare gig where the musical tastes of me and the mrs coincide, so I'll be taking her. A new small venue for me, Guildford Boiler room.

H - quite keen to know how the gig went tonight
As an aside - was there any support? I find no reference to any anywhere, so assume not.
Pleased to say they were absolutely extraordinary. Certainly proved that the sound engineers let them down badly on new years eve. Adam is a great showman but humble at the same time and there were various nods to freddie throughout. As an aside - was there any support? I find no reference to any anywhere, so assume not.
The setlist was good as well, won't spoil it for you but there were a few surprises in there that I wasn't expecting.
There was no support act - the time on the tickets was 8pm but they didn't come on till 8.30. Not sure if that was deliberate or if they were late. They played till about 10.30.
Basically you're in for a treat. :-)
Dropkick Murphys at Manchester Academy in March.
Hard Rock Hell at Pwllheli in November.

Last two years of HRH have been absolutely brilliant fun.

Thank you so much
Incidently, looks like I've got a spare ticket for Saturday - if you can get yer arse down here
You know it's been a good gig when you come out and immediately look up the next dates and establish completely unfeasible plans to get to them.
The first 20 minutes are so are floating about on Twitter and Facebook if you wanted a preview...

Alas I can't but that is very tempting. Thank you for the offer though. :-)

I'll avoid looking for it on Twitter/FB. Thanks for the heads up

Turned down an invite to the Fibbers gig on the basis it's a 500 mile round trip for me although that will be a corker. To make up for it, just booked The Charlatans in March.Jan - Chris Helme (seahorses), Mark Morris (bluetones), Rick Witter (shed seven) @ fibbers in York

I'm only going to this as its local-ish for me, saw them twice in 2014, outdoors at Castlefield bowl in Manchester then at Leeds Arena. Much preferred the outdoor one. The other downside to Scarborough is its all seating.HaroldBishop said:

I'll echo Kinky's sentiments Thank you for the info, we're (me, Mrs Champers and the two Princesses) are at the NIA next Friday, the no support tip will make restaurant beforehand timings and general logistics much easier (got to get them from school, changed, into Brum, food and then gig It's Princess Junior's first concert Park at Mailbox; I reckon NIA and Brindleyplace will be rammed The setlist was good as well, won't spoil it for you but there were a few surprises in there that I wasn't expecting.
