Prodigy were superb at the Barclaycard last night, atmosphere was great, played all the big tracks - old and new. So glad I've finally seen them smile

Went to see Disclosure last night at Alexandra Palace, and it was epic. Well worth the 8-hour round trip.

Just booked tix for Mike Peters @ Oxford - be the 3rd time.

I think his informal chatty show works really well, and he can still sing.

Download announced a whole pile of bands tonight

I'm looking forward to The Amity Affliction, Fort Hope, Havok, KSE, Architects, Beartooth, Skindred, Tesseract, Breaking Benjamin, Don Broco, Gojira and Saxon from the stuff announced tonight. Although there are a few bands I need to look into too.

I saw them at Wembley on Friday, it was a bit last minute as a friend of a friend ended up with a spare ticket the day before. I hadn't heard any of it before the gig, but the new album is brilliant! Ended up only two deep as well biggrin awesome gig.

Me and OH went to see Alt-J last night at Nottingham, supported by The Horrors and Ghostpoet. Really good gig, all 3 played some decent stuff. Alt-j's visuals were also very impressive. I believe that was the last leg of their tour, but if you get the chance and like that sort of Indie/electro type music, well worth a watch.

Yeah I really like it too, some bangers on it. Interesting that they don't play anything from 'Always Outnumbered', I liked that album.

well The Darkness were great last night despite some naff sound at times, I would have preferred a couple more tracks from the new album as opposed to pretty much ALL of permission to land. Messenger or Conquerors or last of our kind would have fit nicely.

justin seemed to be enjoying himself and there was LOADS of crowd banter - they even did a "yorkshire" medley and threatened to release it as a single, we shall see.

he even cam out into the crowd on someones shoulders and then did a crowd surf. the crowd were a subdued, not as much bounce and mosh as previous years and i miss that.

highlights, opening three tracks - Barbarian, Growin' on me and black shuck were terrific, two christmas tracks and of course I believe....

low lights - only the vocals were lost in the mix at times but a minor gripe...

top band, great show.

Mumford on Saturday (hopefully)

Going to see Caro Emerald on Friday, in Bournemouth.

We (my daughter and I) saw her at Shepherds Bush a few years ago and it was a fun evening (not very Rock 'n Roll, though, I'll admit), so we're looking forward to it (as I got the tickets cheapish).

Last couple of gigs were Florence & The Machine at Ally Pally and New Order at Brixton Academy - Both very good!
