Not mad on their music, but they put on great shows. I saw them once in a pub & got chatting with Nalle the guitarist after. They were all completely spent from the gig. Hard working band.

Struck a bit(very)lucky, heading down to Sydney to catch up with some old friends, after a bit of business in China next month, for 11 days.
The day I arrive is 24th - Judas Priest, 26th - Foo Fighters, 28th & 1st Soundwave Festival (FNMthumbup), proper result

As per the Queen thread ..... in response to a few posts saying it was AWESOME .....

All of the above.

The only bit I did not 'get' was the guitar solo. It was utter rubbish. But that 1 interlude aside, I agree with all the above. Kinda wished I'd not sold my tickets for Wembley Arena in February now - as I'd be pretty chuffed to go again smile

Ticket roulette at the Hacksaw household, different ones seeming to arrive every day. So far this week received Seasick Steve tickets, Ukulele Orchestra tickets and tickets for Chris Helme / Rick Witter / Mark Morris.

Think I've had my gig of the year already, Kraftwerk at the Paradiso in Amsterdam last week.

Undoubtedly one of the best venues I've ever been to, it's an old church steeped in music history with a nice small capacity of 1500. Kraftwerk were on absolute top form with the 3D show continuing to really impress.

Would recommend a trip out there if your favourite band are playing the venue.

They were outstanding at last year's Hard Rock Hell - one of the best bands of the whole weekend. The young lady has a voice to die for (Devil Man was utterly superb live). I've just noticed they are playing Manchester in April - I think I'll be going to that!

Manchester is where I'm seeing them.
Saw them at the academy 3 last year.

I've got my first gig of the year on Thursday, and another in 4 weeks time. Both in London.

Inquisition + Archgoat + Ondskapt on 29th Jan.

Ascension + Destroyer 666 + Bolzer + Vassafor on 22nd Feb.

Nothing definite after those two but lots I am interested in. Would've gone to a Prodigy show or two if the dates were at all convenient and if they were playing within 80 miles of me!
