Gig Plans 2015
Discussion
Went to see Shed Seven on Saturday at The Roundhouse, absolutely epic.
What I love is that during their Britpop heyday they were lampooned by the NME as a bunch of Yorkshire thickets, but Rick and the boys didn't give a f*ck about that then, and don't now. They've got a big fanbase that loves what they do, and despite no planned new material can still sell out big tours and delight their fans.
Were it not for a wife, a 10 month old sprog and no annual leave left I'd be hot-tailing it up the M1 to Leeds tonight to blag a ticket off a tout for the last night of their tour.

They were superb last night in Leeds, right on the barrier and got to sing a line of Getting Better! What I love is that during their Britpop heyday they were lampooned by the NME as a bunch of Yorkshire thickets, but Rick and the boys didn't give a f*ck about that then, and don't now. Going to see Caro Emerald on Friday, in Bournemouth.
We (my daughter and I) saw her at Shepherds Bush a few years ago and it was a fun evening (not very Rock 'n Roll, though, I'll admit), so we're looking forward to it (as I got the tickets cheapish).
Last couple of gigs were Florence & The Machine at Ally Pally and New Order at Brixton Academy - Both very good!

The event was very different to Shepherds Bush, Caro Emerald's performances are a lot slicker and polished and probably more entertaining, but it didn't quite have the spark we saw in London 3 years ago, but maybe that's inevitable with any performer as they develop and tour more.
I can't say I like the BIC as a venue much, though (3rd time here) and it certainly wouldn't be my venue of choice to see anyone.
