I can understand not wanting to camp in mud for 5 nights, but that is so over the top. Would like to see them return from the mud bath of 2014 to that place. They must have a team of people to clean you off when you arrive back!

I've seen him live a couple of times when he toured his first and second album. As a performer he's actually pretty good, if you like his music, but since then he's become a massive bell end with a huge chip on his shoulder - expect a 20 minute rant about how persecuted and hard done by he is or something like that... I think I'll give his set a miss.

Makes me less bothered about not getting tickets; I don't like that type of music and Mr. West comes across as a complete and utter self absorbed prick.

Don't think NG and his high flyind birds whatsit is a big enough name to close the main stage - an Oasis reunion would be but cannot see it happening.

Kanye is an interesting one, certainly a huge name, and a huge talent IMHO, but as is so often a huge tt also - but I don;t care provided he can do a good live show.

Either way Glastonbury is so much more than the Pyramid headliners

if he sang some oasis songs whether with bro or not think he's easily big enough given his past connection with glasto? other stage was packed when one of them did a surprise start to the day a year or 2 back. i'd say he's bigger than kanye west in the uk but then im old wink

yes i normally want 1 good headliner to justify the price but would rather have the excuse to go for a wander on the other days rather than going into "town"

Kanye West is headliner material due to his significant worldwide sales (very succesful in the UK, always sells out tours here quickly, critical acclaim of nearly all of his albums and grammy tally.
He is a tool of late, but this shouldnt dictate whther he is headline material.

Noel WAS in a highly succesful band , on his own with a different band he is tent headliner at best.

I'm going to this too... Absolutely buzzing. Glasto has been on my bucket list for years. There's 7 in our group and we've hired two motorhomes! 5 nights is a bit much in a muddy tent. We now have the luxury of proper beds and a shower biggrin. Plus we get to arrive on the Tuesday and start the party a day early!

Kanye West as headliner shows how much Glasto has sold out to the commercial bandwagon over the last 10 years and is a shadow of what it used to stand for and represent IMO.

I couldn't give a toss if West is there or not. I won't be seeing him and they'll be plenty elsewhere on that I will.

This just sums up those 6,000 petitioners (most of whom will not even be going). They only know him from the articles they read in the Daily Mail.

Not particularly a fan of Kanye, although did like his early stuff and Diamonds are forever......(possibly wrong name) smile

Not sure why people have got their arse in their hand about it though. IMHO a more interesting booking than the Foo's and a lot better than either Mumfords or Coldplay.

It will either be heralded as a defining gig, or he will rant for an hour and it will be famous for that. There are many other stages and many other things to do,why people want to refuse their ticket option for one 2 hour set is beyond me. Says more about the attendee than headliner, (again IMHO).

It would have to be Billy Bragg for me. I saw him perform for the first time last year. He did 3 Clash songs with Anti-flag, which ended up being one of the best performances that I saw all weekend. I could have gone to see Kasabian or Massive Attack instead..

I'd prefer to see Kanye at Reading festival. It would all end in tears, as it did for 50 Cent years ago.
