The Who may be getting on a bit but they are still good and they remembered all the words to "who are you" as well wink

Saw them on Jools a while ago; it works yes
Sorry if that was in ref to my comment, I just deleted it as I quoted incorrectly!

But yes the oddest looking lead singer and the most normal looking lead singer collaborate and it definitely does work!

Not heard much from Franz Ferdinand recently which is ashame

Kanye headlining Saturday night.......
Makes me less bothered about not getting tickets; I don't like that type of music and Mr. West comes across as a complete and utter self absorbed prick.
Having suffered his set as it was on in our local i can honestly say what a load of sh*t it was. Some bloke walking around swearing Pam Ayers style odd odes into a microphone. Utter. utter, ste.

I'm surprised there was space on the stage for his ego, or does he keep it in a jar somewhere?

I think you had to be there to get the full volume and atmosphere to appreciate The Who. I don't think it worked on TV's because Daltrey's voice is buggered - he sounds like a pub singer now. But I bet it was immense if you were actually there.

I thought FFS were great, really good. I watched Sparks do 'This town ain't...." in 1974 as a nipper on TOTP.

I don't know if they publish official attendances for each act anywhere but at the moment, based on how many turned up to see him, they seem to be saying that Lionel won Glastonbury 2015.

So Mr West and his entourage of hangers on can all do one, Rich Tea is the man!

Daltry just murdered every memory. frown
As a big fan, I have to agree.

His voice had held good for so long, for his age, but it's gone now, and far too many have continued beyond the point they can't do it any more, and Roger has now joined that list I'm afraid (hardly surprising given his age ffs)
Always felt they should have quit for good after John passed away.

I am sure Lionel will be aware of this little up start. a class act of world renown appeals to a broad section of an audience just like Lionel did I think West has a target audience who understand that his language is entertaining.

Urgh, the dreaded post Glasto lull.
A mix of hangover and going from loads of people to few.
For me, this was easily the best year of the 6 i have done.
And the weather was ideal.

First one done and very good. Highlights for me; Leftfield, Chemicals, Jamie T.

Most idiotic decision: putting Fat Boy Slim on the Blues stage. Scary crush moments there.

Good times!

Another year, another great Glastonbury!

Great weather, great laughs and the usual mix of cider, funny sights, happy people, shangri-la craziness and 6am finishes.

Highlights for me were Jungle, Caribou, Lionel, Years & Years, alt-j, chemicals, some guys called Ghetto Funk Allstars at 1am somewhere in shangri-la and 2 Many DJs at Arcadia on Sunday night

Great value for money and yet again I didn't watch any pyramid headliners.

Only disappointment was missing Future Islands

Future islands were awesome .

What method have you used to get tickets? General sale, go on a list with loads of other people and whoever gets thru buys everyone elses tickets.

I am fortunate to have connections, so can always get tickets, and usually a couple of handy wristbands - backstage (handy for nice loos) and staff bar (much cheaper)

I genuinely feel sorry for people who paid real money to watch that dirge tonight, the TV audience definitely had the better deal.
Don't feel sorry for them. The ticket price included about a thousand alternatives to Kanye. I was in a tent the other side of the site watching Neville Staple and having an awesome time.

Out of interest are there backstage bars for all areas? We've had silver Hayes bands for the last few years.
