Exactly, quite relieved when I am not interested in some Pyramid headliners, because I always want to watch the headliner on JP or one of the other stages.

Laughable - the bloke who started the Kanye objection petition has admitted he has never been to Glastonbury rofl

It was working fine when I went on earlier, you can get the car park ticket too.

Lovely car you've got there by the way wink

The usual feelings:

50% of interest
50% not
Will not have time to see everything I want to
Will be fantastic
Will see 10 or so bands I really like making it £20 each and a bloody bargain, without including all the extra-curricular fun and madness

Particular highlights for me:

Future Islands
Alt-J
Jungle
Deadmau5
Chemical brothers
Years and years
Peace
Caribou
Foo Fighters
Bit of Lionel on Sunday pm chill out
Death cab for cutie
Jamie XX
Todd Terje

Does the special guests gap mean we still have the final Pyramid headliner to come?

I'm guessing the Sunday night headline is still to come.

Would love it to be Prince. So come on - what do you think?

For me it will all be about timing, for example, Pharrell during the day in the sun would be enjoyable, not late at night. No to Kanye unless there was nothing else but I doubt that will be an issue Saturday night. Really looking forward to Foo Fighters as I've not seen them.

Deadmau5, Chemical Brothers and Rudimental I would have bitten your hand off 10 years ago but I've grown out of dance a little over the years. I've seen Chemical Brothers before anyway but will come down to who else is on.

I'd like to see Alt J and Florence mainly and think Motorhead could be fun. The Moody Blues could be interesting but last year was my first year and spent most of my time around the main stages, think this time I'll do a lot more exploring.

According to the guy who runs efestivals.com (who is right more often than not), the Sunday night headliner isn't going to be announced until June because the act that's been booked has got tickets to other gigs to sell before they're announced. His best guess is Blur, or maybe Fleetwood Mac, but apparently it's definitely not Prince. I wouldn't be too fussed about any of them to be honest, but that's no bad thing, plenty of other things to be doing or seeing.

It's not a proper 'wow' line up IMO, but there's plenty to be added yet and more than enough to get me excited. Mostly looking forward to:

Jungle
Belle & Sebastian
Courtney Barnett (her new album is excellent, highly recommend checking it out)
Alabama Shakes
Foos (a bit dated now I guess, but still one of the best live acts I've ever seen)
Caribou
Hot Chip
George Clinton & Co
Jamie T
Alt J
Lionel Richie

Distinct lack of any hip hop other than Kanye, but even if he announced he was going to demonstrate the cure for aids live on stage whilst simultaneously proving the existence of extra terrestrial life, I wouldn't go and see him - what a massive throbber he is. Had heard Wu Tang or Public Enemy were going to be there, now that's proper hip hop!

There's also apparently 40-50 more big acts to be announced. So it's a good start!

The headliners aren't my cuppa but the Mothership Returns looks good. Plus this is only about 25% so there are bound to be lots more to see/hear. Chemicals always put on a good show.

Hasn't he already done that?

Right, I'm going to spend my working day attempting to do some actual work, but in reality I'll be on youtube checking out the acts I've not heard before. I don't really listen to the radio much so there's heaps of names that aren't familiar to me.

First up, Wolf Alice - so far pretty decent, 'She' is a good track - sort of light indie grunge rock with a female singer. Somewhere between Royal Blood and Catfish and the Bottlemen?

I actually think Kanye is a clever musician, and very creative - he is openly a a massive dhead but there again I am sure a lot of artists are unlikeable idiots but their PR is better at hiding it.

Thing putting me off is a) him being a tt/bore on stage and b) most rap/hip-hop sounding crap live to me

I find a) less prevalent at Glastonbury as artists know no one paid big money to watch them particularly, and could quite easily bugger off and watch someone/do something else

Anyone seen this configuration of Clinton & Co before and can describe? I like Funkadelic but find Parliament a bit dated now. Are the Family Stone, everyone minus Sly but play the old SATFS stuff, which would be good ?

I'll be doing the same with Spotify unless someone beats me to it. Get a nice big playlist together.

Can't disagree with what you say re Kanye and live hip hop - it rarely translates into something better 'proper' bands and such. I've actually seen him live twice before, on his first and second album tours (both albums are ace IMO) and he was pretty good (and, to an extent, before his ego grew out of control) but his newer stuff isn't my cup of tea. Expect half an hour of ranting about his 'haters' and such...

Where is a good place to start with George Clinton and friends? I've heard a couple of things of his before but not sure what to expect from them, would be interested in finding out if I'd enjoy seeing them.

He is bound to have a rant about something, I actually liked his first couple of albums but I struggle to see past his personality. I also agree that the actual rapping sounds rubbish live, though this is sometimes overcome by the use of orchestras etc.
