What's the score there? Has he got a gripe with the BBC?
No, but if you headline you have to agree to BBC airing the performance in full, and some artists have attitudes about image rights etc and want to control output. Imagine if Prince did a Madonna, got a tugged cape and fell flat on his arse - he would have no rights to edit it out. All a bit silly IMHO

See the mighty Future Islands on iplayer (and I recommend you do), first song lead singer trips arse over tit over a floor speaker, laughs it off and cracks on, but you don't get to edit that stuff out

I guess it's more about the fact that the Beeb can show it in full if they so desire, rather than whether they will.

There was some agreement when Blur played recently not to show their whole set.

I heard it was the reason The Who brought their set forward 30 mins very late in the day, I am not sure what happened to the set or the BBC coverage, as I couldn't give two hoots for the band in question.

Rolf Harris was the Sunday oddball one year I went.

As I understand it, he's a really difficult bd to negotiate with. Apparently he's been asked to do it before, rumours got out that he was going to do it so he backed out because he thought the festival was using his name to sell tickets before he'd been booked (notwithstanding that it usually sells out the day tickets go on sale without any line up announcement - this year they sold out in 30 minutes). This year he was up for it again, but pulled out again because of the negativity around the Kanye West petition etc.

He sounds like a right massive throbber if you ask me!
Because he doesn't do stuff he doesn't want to do and isn't a publicity hungry muppet?

Fair play to him.
He backed out because of the risk of negative publicity though, doesn't that amount to the same thing? If he doesn't want to do it, then why dick glasto about to the point they have to get the who to cancel a long scheduled gig in Paris to fill the gap once he had a flounce? He's a massively talented musician, don't get me wrong but that ain't fair play in my book.

Have you all peeled the stickers off your cars yet, or are you going to keep them on for the next few months just to show the world that you've been there?

Managed to get the sticker off the other day, was a right pain in the arse though - spent a good 30 minutes with nail polish remover and an ice scraper. Not sure why they need to make it out of the stickiest substance known to man!

only sticker I had was a green villagers pass - took it off immediately as I left as they are sticky b******s.

This is deliberate so you cannot peel off and lend to a friend.

2 mins of razor blade and white spirit - mess is gone
