I'm a huge fan and agree that Gaslight Anthem capture a lot of his early energy (not that he's short of it now!) and his long-show work ethic.

Big Springsteen fan, started off as many here, liking just a few of his songs, but then a mate of mine was taken to see him in the states by a colleague, he came back saying "you have just got to see him if you can".

As a result we both went to see him on the Rising Tour, and then another 3 times since.

His last tour was the best of the 4 I've seen when he played a lot of the old stuff. It would appear as though the death of Clarence Clemons had given him a bit of a retrospective feel for his tour.

He has a history of playing for a long time, I think his record stands at just over 4 hours. When he was in Manchester on his last tour it was 3 hours 40 mins none stop music, quite often without even a break between songs. It was on this same tour that the powers that be, pulled the plug on him and Paul McCartney in Hyde Park for overrunning the curfew.
